I'd forgotten how many popular (or semi-popular) early 80s FM regulars were on this album; "I.G.Y.", "Ruby Baby", "New Frontier", "Walk Between The Raindrops"...
I suspected so too at first, but after many more listens, I'm totally addicted. Just lovely, broad, pastoral strokes. Quite sophisticated too, nothing Claydemann about it. It's my most-listened to album this year.
Either way, give it a few more tries. It's bound to grow on you as you discover more details. It's just a gorgeous impressionist album, IMO -- like a Ravel symphony or Van Gogh painting.
