Saw Redux at the cinema--2 days after 9/11--and while the extra scenes were intriguing, I think they spoiled the flow and mood of the masterful theatrical cut, or whatever cut it was I grew up watching and quoting in seemingly every life situation.
The dinner scene at the crumbling French estate was especially turgid, as was the goofy laughter of Willard and the boys stealing the surfboard.
