Scotland women 3-0 up. End up drawing 3-3 with Argentina. Penalty in 92 min double save from Scotland VAR retake as she's off her line. Then ref adds no time on despite about 3 minutes of time taken for var and ref ends game but no one knew game had ended. Just awful. Though the goalie was off the line and they did blow a 3 goal lead.

Keeper should know from the France v Nigeria game where the same thing happened. In that case a couple of French attackers encroached into the penalty area but weren’t picked up on it. Should have been reretaken.

That England keeper who also apparently plays for Manc Utd is hilariously bad. Woeful.

I settled down to watch this in my apartment - poxy tv only gave me sound. England played very average, 1-0 down, 1-1, 2-1 down, 2-2, then 3-2 and keeper howler 4-2.
As wanky as the first team.

If you insist... smile

Our first game is away to Bristol City, teatime Sunday 4th August, presumably on the telly. Following Saturday, home to Forest. MOT!

Thanks to litefoot for mentioning La Copa America. Argentina vs. Qatar today should be interesting.

I'll boldly predict an Argentina turnaround and a 3-0 win.

They ended up pounding Peru into the pitch 5-0. Brazil were long overdue to catch fire. They're hosting the damn thing, so they "should" win it. Colombia have been the most impressive side to date, but just watch that dissipate once the pressure starts. You saw how they imploded in the Round of 16 vs. England in the World Cup.

Maddeningly inconsistent as always. They expect €60 million Chelsea man Puslic to carry the load, but the team are still taking as long as a middle-aged man to "get it up" in matches. They did beat Trinidad & Tobago 6-0 but their inconsistency is frustrating. Mexico continue to be the best side in CONCACAF.

England women beat Cameroon 3-0 in a shocking game. Cameroon were scum. They should have had 3 players sent off. One on six minutes for a clear elbow - not referred to VaR, one on 12 minutes for spitting somehow not refered to var, 97 minute horror tackle was referred to var and ref gave a yellow.

Cameroon players refused to believe England's second goal wasn't offside and refused to restart the game for Zbout 4 minutes. This game had 17 minutes if stoppage time. Ludicrous. The ref was awful and lost total control. Cameroon players were screaming with tears snd refusing to restart during the game. It was like they didn't realise var accurately measured offsides. The tech isn't the problem it's the idiots using it and the massive time delays. Cameroon also had a goal correctly disallowed for offside
Which they literally cried and screamed Zbout on the pitch.

The football was very poor too, two very tired pub teams lacking quality. Paris was good for Englsnd but half were just ok znd half were awful. Cameroon should get a massive massive fine.

That's not how I seen it. I was in the pub and it's the only game I've seen in this tournament. If that VAR nonsense is going to be used for very marginal decisions like that Cameroon goal, it will kill the game. The girl had her back to goal and she was near the touchline. It's getting far too pedantic, VAR was not meant to be used for every single incident leading to a goal.

Ref has just used var to incorrectly disallow a goal for france. The ref with multiple angles replays still got ît wrong. Not a tech issue.

Kev I don't recall 100% the offside but either some of her is offside when she gets the ball or she's onside. I wasn't too bothered about var as long as it was getting the decisions right. Now it's referees getting decisions wrong and adding 17 minutes of injury time.

Thankfully it won't be a Bolton problem next year as I think someone's dad just referees at league one level.

Argentina beat Qatar 2-0.

Strange to see Qatar and Japan in the Copa America.

CONMEBOL (coninental governing body) said: “The presence of both teams is due to the high interest of the Asian Football Confederation to participate in CONMEBOL competitions and the commitment of the South American Football Confederation to contribute to the development of football worldwide.”

???

Few more days to go in algarve.
Weather been hot.
I refuse to watch womens football but cameroon game sounds like a war - sulking players, spitting, bad tackles.

U21 last game tonight. Manager boothroyd seems like a bit if a dick - leaving out best player foden from crucial 2nd game against strong team and then getting knocked out. So tonights rubber is irrelevant. Not even a best third place.

Hammers still trying to get maxi gomez with bournemouths wilson as possible alternative. Also apparently interested in a portuguese striker
