Non film score discussion , do I need to explain what that means?

Come on, you’re better than that. It means whatever the owner of the board and setter of the rules (and payer of the bills) decides it means.

Glad you got sorted out in the end, Jeh, you young pup. A couple of weeks to my second one.

Hi Tall Guy! I observe the rules here and appreciate everything Lukas does for us, but it's even hard for me sometimes. I understand where Ado is coming from.

Hi Henry

This virus has touched us all in one form or another and it’d be a real shame if this thread were shut down because people insist on non-existent rights.

All the best from West Yorkshire!

BTW Tall Guy, how are things in West Yorkshire, are infection rates dropping where you are I hope?smileInfection rates here in the states are below 30,000 a day for the first time in a year! The vaccines are working. I hope you're doing well my friend.

Hey friend, good hearted dear Henry.

Let me say something here. Lukas is one of the best people I have ever know, even as we have never met in person. I shared my grief with Lukas as a nerd kid when Goldsmith died. FSM is a challenge to run, and I will do whatever I need to do to support us, and support him. I regard you guys all as friends from, sometimes from afar, sometimes we exchanges packages and cards and CD's. The world has changed, not all for the better. We gotta make our brotherhood/sisterhood work. I love you guys.

All the personnel assumed I was there for my second jab. I kept having to tell them it was the first.

George Miller and Bill Conti. We would be perfect for The Newlywed Game.

Can’t complain, Henry, thank you. West Yorkshire is a big diverse county with a handful of cities and some large rural areas so it’s hard to generalise. We’re a bit out in the country in a market town but are only 12 miles or so from Leeds, the largest city in the county with about half a million people. But we’re not safe until everyone’s safe, so I’m not sure I’d be travelling far afield just yet.

But it’s easy for me to say because my job makes it difficult to get away until October/November, and we’re hoping things will be a lot better by then.

Take care pal!

Not personally affected by the virus so far, but this weekend we met a befriended pair, whose daughter (age about 25) has had Corona and is now officially "well" again. "Well" means, she doesn't have Corona anymore, not that she is feeling well. Because now, six months later, she still suffers from severe cerebral vein thrombosis (as a direct result of the Corona infection), cannot do any swimming any more, most sports are off limits.

That's why it is very misleading to only look at infected people and "death rates". It's not always death, there are many cases with long lasting complications that get often overlooked, and the complication rate is considerably higher than the death rate.

A friend's young daughter is in very poor spirits and her health is not too good, as covid cost her the sense of taste. She has no interest in food (easily understood) and is, to be blunt, wasting away.

Sense of smell/taste may well return in time.

She's ~9 months without taste now, but they're hoping for that to return.

That's devastating. I don't think most of us realize how important taste and smell is.

I've read several reports where if Covid survivors get vaccinated it helps nearly 50% of those affected with long Covid symptoms to get better in many respects. If she hasn't been vaccinated perhaps that may help some. I sincerely hope she improves.

Thanks, Tom! Actually in her case, she got the vaccine and almost immediately suffered a stroke and blood clots that took quite some time to recover. Sad.

A single-dose Covid vaccine made by Janssen has been approved for use in the UK by the medicines regulator.
