Oliver Harper's film Retrospective/Reviews are always well researched and informative. He also devotes a good chunk of his reviews talking about the score and available soundtracks.

Here he reviews Star Trek V.

I like a lot of Brandon's stuff and he's from Saskatchewan too.

I have a growing fondness for low budget "B" movies. I'm discovering a lot of stuff I've never seen or heard of before.

So I sat through Oliver Harper's ST5 review, which Adam linked to above.
It's easy to agree with most of what he says, but personally, I love the campfire scenes.
Three old guys on vacation.
It's Deck 72 that bugs me the most.

Studio interference just bunged the whole thing up.

It has a lot of heart, and so many great lines too.

FSMer bobbengan's youtube channel.

It's endlessly rewarding and i look forward to every update. Tons of music, almost all of which i am unfamiliar with.

Tons of John Scott goodness, like today's post:

That's funny, I've been doing that too.
This one fellow put up the whole movie in reverse.
It was a gas watching Bruce spit Quint out.

And at the end it looks like someone under the surface gave Chrissie the most gigantic orgasm, then just left her all alone.
The cad!

Fil I just started watching those after discovering the Spinosaurus tail news that was recently released. That was linked near it.

It just makes sense that it was more (but not completely) at home in water.
It so strongly resembled a croc in many ways, and the buoyancy of water enables a larger size.
Plus the tail and the fin just clinches it.

I've been watching lots of historical stuff on YouTube. There are some really interesting things out there. I really find this video interesting. It's about medieval knights and their armour and how they fought in it; which isn't your standard screen sword fighting. The dexterity of the people wearing armour and the demonstration of fighting techniques is something i wish they'd show in films and TV shows. The range of movement some fully armoured knights must have had was pretty amazing.

Frank Herbert talking about DUNE and his creative process prior to writing it. It's recorded in 1969. Good sound quality. Very interesting, though i have never read the book.

I enjoy these older recordings about creatives talking about their work, like listening to Philip K Dick talking about his writing in 1976 on Hour 25, or Orson Welles talking to Peter Bogdanovich about his works in the 60s and 70s.

Flat Earth debunker SciManDan. I didn't realise there were different levels of Flat Earth deniers, dinosaur deniers, space deniers, sun deniers, etc. They're astonishing imbeciles.

I've been watching these for days now, they're great.

Scorpions are fascinating creatures.

Watching one eat makes me wonder if this is where HR Giger got the idea of having a claw at the end of the Xenomorph's mechanical tongue. You be the judge.

WARNING: Do not watch if you find this sort of thing disturbing.

Most are good for a laugh. Some seem more dangerous like the anti-vaxxers and coronavirus deniers.
