On M*A*S*H, Alda-as-Hawkeye Pierce punched Frank Burns, shoved a colonel into a wall, and gave a bloodthirty officer an unnecessary operation--and didn't even apologize! Doesn't that make Alda more macho?

That's worth some points, BUT - PW took on Morgan Fairchild, uh?
Did anyone catch the drift of my "Quien es mas macho"? It was a brief skit from some comedy show.
I remember that from some show back in the 70s, 80s. Was it Fridays or SNL? Anyone?

No one this side of 1982 remembers Morgan Fairchild, jack.
Fridays is best remembered for when the genius Andy Kaufman "punked" the untalented cast--including Michael "Racist Meltdown" Richards by destroying a sketch. It remains one of the greatest moments I've ever had the privilege to watch.

On the surface, yes, it would seem to be so. But in retrospect, it's more likely Hawkeye did those things merely to impress future Femi-Nazis. Alda was "woke" before there was such a thing!
Not only was Alda "woke", he was also a dedicated family man who shielded his children from the rotten cesspool that was and is Hollywood. Can't get more manly than that.
