I agree that genetics and life style can lead to heart disease.
However, overall the analogy does NOT work as no vaccine exists at this time for heart disease. If there was such a vaccine, I'd get it.
Actually the analogy is appropriate on many levels. Heart disease has been an "epidemic" for probably 100 years, mainly from the "Western" diet.
