STAR WARS: KNIGHTS OF THE REPUBLIC---Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman claims Lucasfilm is developing a Disney+ prequel tv series that is not directly based on the video game, but it will use characters from it.
DUNE---Hollywood insider Daniel Richtman claims Warner Bros. is developing a DUNE movie, possibly CHILDREN OF DUNE, and may do so without director Denis Villeneuve. Richtman said Villeneuve is “rather irked by these potential plans to expand the franchise, with or without him”. Richtman also said the studio is developing a second spinoff tv series.
THE BATMAN 2---movie insider Jeff Sneider said a rumor claims the sequel's villain will be Mr. Freeze. Arnold Schwarzenegger played Mr. Freeze in BATMAN & ROBIN.
Also, director Matt Reeves commented on the sequel, “I can tell you that we’re…shooting this year and that we’re excited about it. I can’t really tell you anything about it except that we’re really excited about it...I’m really excited to be making it and to get our cast back together and to get new people involved and we’re really excited about it…We’re doing something that absolutely continues where the story came from but is something that I hope people are gonna be really surprised by.”
WICKED---Cynthia Erivo said co-star Ariana Grande deserves an Academy Award nomination, “I will raise hell if this lady does not get her nomination. It’s a really f—ing hard job to jump into the middle of something like this and have it be your first time.”
SPIDER-MAN---Andrew Garfield denied rumors he is returning for the next sequel, “I’m gonna disappoint you. Yeah, no. But I know no one’s gonna trust anything I say from now on.”
SQUID GAME---Netflix denied rumors that Leonardo DiCaprio will appear in Season 3, “The rumors are completely false. Reports of Leonardo DiCaprio’s involvement in SQUID GAME Season 3 are entirely unfounded.”
THE SUBSTANCE---director Coralie Fargeat commented on a sequel to the horror movie starring Demi Moore, “The point of this movie to bring fresh things to the world. No sequels, no prequels… I’m going to be happy to bring something fresh to the world in a bit."
TRIVIA---in the COLUMBO episode "The Bye-Bye Sky High IQ Murder Case", 18 year-old Jamie Lee Curtis appeared briefly as an obnoxious waitress. Curtis' mother, Janet Leigh, appeared in the episode "Forgotten Lady" as a has-been actress who killed her wealthy husband because he refused to finance her comeback movie.
