I approached Seth MacFarlane, he and his team are working on it, the scripts. So, we’re hoping to go in the summertime, you know?”

Preiss was great. Good but brief part in Boys from brazil.
But his best monologue is when discussing the Allies landing in Anzio.

"...They came roaring ashore...only to fall direct on the beach. Anzio is the now cheapest POW camp in Europe. 50,000 men who feed themselves..."

18 months maybe in prison? If I got convicted of such a crime, I'd spend at least 18 years being pounded in Federal Pound Me in the Ass prison.

It says "could face up to 18 months in prison." Did I miss an edit?

And I think maybe the world could use a rest from Jared Leto.
Maybe it's just me.

LOL
It's funny you would mention that.
I often think that I would have enjoyed that movie more had someone else less cringey played the stereotypical
evil-genius-that-sort-of-drives-the-subplot.

I, too, root for the day when Jared Leto leaves us alone.

The tragic part of the Blade Runner 2049 part is that David Bowie was cast for the Wallace role and the script was finished with that casting in mind. Unfortunately mortality caught up with Bowie and he passed before filming could begin. I love the film, but Leto is quite a weak link in it. Worst of all is the dialogue and concept of the character as devised by screenwriters Hampton Fancher and Michael Green seems tailor-made for the authority and quality of air which was a David Bowie's ethereal existence on screen. Leto is a shallow wannabe and the gravitas of the character is lost while he scowls and feigns elder authority.

BILLCARSON:

A long time ago, I checked to see if Wolfgang Preiss was related to SS Gen. Hermann Preiss, but apparently they aren't related.
It would have been really ironic if they were related.

I did not know that, Leto comes off as some glam wanna be raver boy with wayyy too much makeup, he part could be removed from that film entirely without ANY negative result.

Jay Leto? I'm out. Wait, how can they start filming before they have a director?

Sol, the post you responded to is an announcement that a director is in negotiations to bring the project before cameras later this year.

Shrug. If it can get Daft Punk to get back together and write a score for this film, I am totally on board. To buy the soundtrack that is. I will skip the movie.

Why? It was entertaining enough. Certainly better than most other comedies currently out there. It was a bit jarring to hear a laugh track again while watching a modern tv show, but I guess that is supposed to be part of its charm.

Another sequel to 'bring back old friends' to rekindle memories and nostalgia of the old times. Or you can rewatch the original.

Ok I'm starting to sound old man grumpy, but my point stands.
