For me it's footage of the Chelyabinsk meteor and of any tsunami footage!

Public Freakouts

I find it oddly entertaining to watch people argue about mostly ridiculous situations like
refusing to show a WalMart receipt,
customers claiming to have a rude encounter at a fast food window
and failure to comply with police.

I also enjoy Sovereign Citizens Fails, especially when a car window gets smashed with all the screaming that entails.

I’ve seen a couple of these - hilarious! Do those people really think that this is actually a thing?

I watch old Leeds United matches from the 60s and 70s - there isn’t hours of stuff, unfortunately, as coverage wasn’t as comprehensive. There’s enough to keep me happy.

Flat Earth nonsense, and videos that debunk it. Absolutely fascinating to see how the human brain can twist anthing into what it wants to believe, far beyond its ability to reason.

There is some genuinely good stuff on YouTube: Ashens (eating out of date food, retro gaming, unboxing cheap tat). Idubbbz is also a talented guy.

There is a youtube channel where a guy reviews different military food rations. It is mostly U.S. military, but he also checks out rations for military from other countries. I haven't seen anything that makes me want to run out and buy a bunch of MREs, but it is fascinating how they are put together. Quite a challenge to put together an edible meal that is light, has a long shelf life, and can be prepared in less than ideal conditions.

He even checks out rations from Vietnam and World War II. He doesn't actually eat the ancient rations, but opens them up to show what soldiers in the field ate.

I watch a lot of YT but not for the typical things like cute animal videos or people doing stupid things.
It's my primary source for science videos and political commentary. It's also one of my go to sources for sampling scores before I purchase them.

I don't know of any I can't stop watching, but I particularly like the DIY videos. I've been helped by any number of these, from auto repair to building things, etc.
Lots of movies that seem to be unavailable on DVD, Blu-ray, etc., or that I'm not willing to buy.

And I especially enjoy the old NFL Films classics, like Game of the Week and This Week in Pro Football.

Okay, okay, you broke me down, I admit it - I'm hooked on the "F*arts scaring babies and animals" videos! Happy now?!?

wink

"Scary Snowman" (Hilarious!) and dog rescues in southern California by "Hope for Paws". On the second one, I have to make sure to wipe my tears fast if anyone is approaching my cubicle.

And plenty of helicopters, landing, taking off and in flight.

Plus countless others.....

Cats

Btw, I have a Calico and she is subject to fits of boredom. YouTube has great Cat Games videos. She will sit forever and watch.

There's nothing I can't stop watching, but I enjoy many things on Youtube, including but not limited to:

Channels:
  • The Scary Snowman
  • The Bronze Cowboy
  • Bushman (to a lesser extent)
  • CinemaSins
  • Nostalgia Critic
  • Angry Video Game Nerd
  • Bighead Parodies (AKA: lowcarbcomedy)
  • Magic of Rahat
  • Crazy Russian Hacker
  • Backyard Scientist
  • Smarter Every Day
  • Honest Trailers
  • Simon's Cat
  • And I used to enjoy SSSniperWolf until her channel became nothing but reaction videos to compilations from other videos. Lame. Probably gets her income, views and subscribers though.

    Types of Videos:
  • Cats.
  • Rat shooting.
  • News Bloopers
  • Horrible drivers on Russia (which is pretty much everybody who owns a car in Russia, including the military if you watch enough of the hundreds of videos that are up, on channels like Petrolhead Center).

This is the world's best tiny temper tantrum... a lot of videos are faked, but this one is absolutely real.

Steve1989? He does actually eat the old rations (earliest is 1899/Boer War, I think). Great channel. My wife loves military ration packs and we have a pile of them at home.

    A channel called TheWolfePit.

A guy tries all kinds of cheap foods you can buy at Dollar Tree and gas station mini-marts. He also samples name brand frozen foods and canned foods that most of us wouldn't buy. Always entertaining.

My favorite channel on Youtube is called Mouse Trap Monday.

It was created by a gentleman named Shawn Woods. He has a barn with mice and rats and he tests different kinds of mouse traps. Everything from the classic snap-traps to home made water bucket traps. He posts new videos several times a week. Not just Mondays. People from all around the world send him traps to test in his barn that he films with a motion-activated camera. Youtube restricts what he can show. They no longer allow the actual "killshot" for fear it may offend people! Check it out.
