It would be interesting to note which of these suggestions start a Conventional Nerd War (Nerds vs. Outsiders), and which start a Nerd Civil War (Nerds vs. Nerds, probably the silliest sight in the known universe ).
All of this only makes me miss the OTT threads (both of them). They really taught a fellow who the weak and thin-epidermis-posessed were around here, as Louis L'Amour might have said.
How dare you say ANY of the above???!!! I challenge you to a lightsaber duel, sir!
Sorry, I can't play this game as I'm WAY too cool to ever be a nerd. (And who cares what a 64 year old man has to say. Also, I'm so cool that I had to google "Beeker shirts." I've never heard of the them. My skin is only graced by Prada or Chanel. LOL.)
Chris, did you not see my winkie icon at the top of my post? The whole thing was a joke. And I'm older that you are, so I wasn't putting down being 64. The whole post was a joke. Please reread it. And of course I knew you were validating a young lady which was great.
Phew, Chris and joan are still peaceful members of the nerd herd. My daughter got a chuckle from both your comments.
Beeker has a respected place in our home, along with Einstein, Bill Nye and Neil deGrasse Tyson. My daughter was never afraid to own the title and topped it off with a degree in the sciences.
Chris, my daughter agrees with you and I wuv you and joan too!
There's nothing "nerdy" about having being there in the beginning (1977) when it was Star Wars, before the tacked on crap about "episode 4" and "A New Hope".

Agreed. To me, that film will always be STAR WARS.
However, I think DavidinBerkeley and the other posters are just engaging in a little fun. I don't think the average person on the street cares whether it's called STAR WARS or A NEW HOPE.
