Andy, Out of curiosity did you keep a few soundtracks for yourself or was this a total fire sale for you? You have a lot of music and I understand scaling down. I always had a smaller collection (up to 200 at one time) and now have under 100. Enough music for my lifetime.

It is not a fire sale. What happened was this, I owned a home in LA, Oxford UK & BC Canada (I bought property instead of retirement plans). Due to being a bit of a "house rat' I always wanted my "things - music" with me & therefore every time I was "else where" I wanted what was in the "other" place. So I started to buy extra copies. What has happened over the years is as work folded or I wanted to have more retirement I sold up & moved on, only taking the CD (plus at one point LPS) that were not in the next place. When I left LA, Amoeba took everything, it was great. Then came the UK & again all I packed for Canada was what was not there. Then I sold BC & building a new home (which will be a gift to the SPCA when I pass - hope a few more years). So many boxes were stored over the years & even breaking down homes I discovered duplication. So what is here are literally duplicates & my own score collection, which is mainly Goldsmith & Broughton is intact plus the bits I "just like" so there is all sorts. The rest, well I do not need 3 copies of Raiders of the Lost Ark! Also I still have some friends left alive & as with the new US Marshals or the Disaster box set they had two & sent me one & I am no big fan of it, so put it up here.
By the way, if you think this is crazy, you would hate to see the number of DVd & blu ray films I have! Yes even more duplicate!
Few more years left - I hope & then one day I hope the SPCA will have a score CD sale & a film sale (if people have machines to play such things by then!!) & everything finds a new home & brings a whole new level of enjoyment to new fans.
