"This is John Connor. If you're listening to this, you are the resistance. " Terminator Salvation (Original Soundtrack) - Danny Elfman
This fourth (and frankly dreadful) installment of the never ending Terminator franchise, which unfortunately won't be put out of it's misery any time soon with the sixth movie coming out this winter, was released in theaters ten years ago today. Elfman's somber score, which is often underappreciated, was better than this movie deserved
2009 must have been a pretty weak year for movies if Terminator Salvation made it in anybody's top ten best movies list. But if you liked it to each his own.

No, it was a fine year. I just happen to think it's a good film. Very underrated. Love the MAD MAX-ian setting of it, in particular. Low on CGI, high on propulsive, mechanical energy. Dedicated Christian Bale. TERMINATOR: GENISYS was more uneven, but even that I liked considerably better than most people.

I’m with Thor on this. Except for Terminator 3 that I consider an unimaginative sequel I thought both 4th and 5th were very good, underrated solid sequels. Elfman’s score to 4, in particular, is great also.
