Another take on E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial:

This is probably my favorite E.T. cover Ive seen thus far. My only suggestion would be to make the E.T. title a lighter color. White or maybe glow blue.

I've made the title lighter.

VOYAGE OF THE DAMNED.

This one took some doing. Not a single hi-res scans of the theatrical poster was at all satisfactory, as the contrast was way too blown out and overly yellow, leaving some of the faces excessively washed out, Faye Dunaway's most noticeably. Then I accidentally stumbled across a dim scan of artist Richard Amsel's original take, albeit in an incredibly low bitrate, rendering it useless for a large image. However, it came in handy when culling patches to cover the cast member's names as featured under their respective likenesses on the poster. His initial artwork also had two major differences, the first being that it featured an illustration of Janet Suzman in the lower right corner, which was eventually changed to Katharine Ross somewhere along the way. Since there was no counterpart for Ross I was unable to utilize any sort of patching to cover up her name, so I did some subtle painting and pasting to approximate the waves of her hair and the neckline. The second major difference was his dramatic depiction of the the St. Louis. I would have liked to incorporate it, but as the scan was so small, dark, and generally crappy, I had to go with the theatrical poster version.

Enjoy! (original scans included for comparison purposes)

Super cool behind the scenes here from Brad.

The Mission

This would be a lot nicer without the ornamentation.

There's an occasional scattering of custom covers from the Varese "Bernard Herrmann at 20th Century Fox" box set across these mighty threads. But has anyone created a full set that is easily accessible? I can't find covers for "Jane Eyre" or "5 Fingers", for example, anywhere! Thank you!

Why not use Kritzerland's covers? wink
Not all of them, of course. But better than nothing...

Raferjanders (who has been much missed here if you are still reading!) has also posted some nice covers for some of these in the last couple of years.
