Trying to figure this out - are the tracks on the original album from back in the day the actual score for the movie or were they re-records for album presentation?

Most of the tracks were actual score from the movie. Track 4 is was the original finale and end credits that went unused, and track 9 is an album version of the theme not featured in the film.

A-ha. I never knew that. And original track 4 is LLL track 17 I’m just noticing.

When I received the LLL version (which is superb in every way) I wondered why the track ‘Somewhere In Time’, which featured as track 1 on the original release and the Debney re-recording, was not on this new release. Well of course it is the track Total Dismay without the intro. So JB had edited that track to provide a suitable opener.

Oh interesting. Yeah I’ve been trying to piece together how these releases line up. Have not picked up the LLL limited yet but it’s looking like it’s a must.
