My preference is digital download. When I get a CD, I rip it to Apple Lossless files and then banish it to a storage bin in my closet indefinitely. I would rather not buy them, frankly. I've skipped several recent prominent releases like Wild Wild West, et al, because I don't want to add to the pile.
I rarely buy CDs any more. Nowhere to put them, all I do is rip them onto a computer and then put them away somewhere, they cost more - there are a lot of CD-exclusive soundtrack releases from the speciality labels which I don't buy but definitely would buy if they offered a digital. (I guess I'm just saying that this thing works both ways.)
Seems we’ll need to keep our original albums for The Adventures of Han?
And for the album version of "Chicken in the Pot," which has two female singers instead of one male and one female.
And the original versions of some cues that later got inserts/overlays added in; Those inserts & overlays are all integrated into the DE tracks, but some OST tracks don't have them added in.
Also, the entire DE is a brand new mix and master compared to the OST mix and master.
Powell hasn't been a Zimmer minion for years. Even when he worked at RC, the only major project he did that really sounded like Zimmer was Face/Off, and that was because they wanted the Zimmer sound but he was busy. Even if you look at Powell's follow-up to that, Endurance, it sounds like Powell.
NO. We will get even more digital-only releases! It cost nothing for labels!
A comment so absolutely stupid, I had to block the person for fear it was some sort of extraterrestrial virus seeking to duplicate members of this board
