Hey ryan, either something really good like an expanded REIVERS or EIGER SANCTION or something not as good like an expanded SEVEN YEARS IN TIBET or MUNICH I like Seven Years and Munich! Think they sound great on the existing releases as they are! moi aussi

As a FSM buyer out of the gate, I remember picking up this Patton/FOTP twofer back in '99 upon release and greatly enjoying the pieces of the "Phoenix" score, having not heard it prior. At the time, I listened to it more than the Patton, since I'd already spent many hours enjoying Patton for years on vinyl. I would certainly welcome the return of the score in its fullness with the sonic upgrade!

Nine minutes of actual score with (at best) 15 minutes of alternates, making for a 24 minute CD valued at 20 bucks. It continues to boggle me why people think there can only ever be a single score on one CD. True. However, the CD of PANIC ROOM (Howard Shore) is 30 minutes long. So they could do a release of REAR WINDOW without combining it with another score. I'm not a fan of those mashups to be honest. Or perhaps they could add one extra suite from another film (perhaps of another short score, like ROPE) and add it as an extra. Just like they did with the suite from "Strangers On A Train" on the DIAL M FOR MURDER cd. First of all, Panic Room is owned by Varese in purpetuity so they would have to be the ones to expand it. And second, the score to Panic Room is well over 50 Minutes long. Why Varese didn't put it all on the CD boggles the mind since the reuse fees were worked out by then so they could've easily put it all on there if they wanted along with Howard Shore himself. It would've been a great thing to release Waxman's Rear Window with David Shire's excellent remake score for the 1998 TV film but that was released by MovieScore Media years ago and well worth owning. A Hitchcock compilation of original scores would be the best bet to see this released especially if it is really that short.

Wow I had no idea there was enough material for 2 CDs! Looking forward to seeing the tracklist. And with the great poster image that is a HELL of a cover upgrade over the FSM (which used a film still I believe). Yavar

This is the title Roger Feigelson is excited !? The guy is excited for very little. Pass. I think you’re confusing Roger with Doug Fake, whose Doug’s Corner column was quoted here. I don’t recall Roger expressing any opinions about this score recently though I may be wrong. And I’m not sure why you felt the need to express your opinion on it if that’s all you were going to write. Is there some reason you don’t like the score, or does it just not catch your interest? (Have you even heard it, before dismissing it?) A lot of other people besides Doug have already expressed excitement for this score/release even before it was actually announced, so clearly Intrada has an appreciative audience they are catering to even if you aren’t included in that. Maybe you’ll like something else they release this year. We don’t all have to like everything. Yavar

It's been like 18 years since I saw the movie, but to the best of my recollection that is indeed the case. Remember all these people are stranded in the desert and low on supplies/water. I'm pretty sure it's a mirage or something. Maybe someone who has seen the film more recently can confirm. Yavar
