I'm very pleased they released a soundtrack (I was getting worried there for a moment), but very disappointed that it's a massive 2-hour(!) release. Would have loved a neat 50-minute presentation, curated by Richter (& co.). But I'll add it to the ever-growing pile of albums that I need to make playlists out of.
If you haven't already, check out "The Waves: Tuesday" from his Virginia Woolf album. 21:38. It is goddamned GLORIOUS.
Hmmm. Interesting. A 'voiceless' version of that track, maybe? If so, I'll probably omit it from the playlist, and acquire the WOOLF album instead. Thanks, anything that helps me whittle this beast of an album down to AT LEAST half its size, is of great help.
Btw, I LOVE Richter's take on Bach's "Erbarme Dich" here. For some reason, the slower, melancholic tracks of Bach are very suited to an electronic idiom (think Artemiev's work on SOLARIS, for example).
