BATMAN is the STAR WARS of the Gen X generation (was it "Y') In 1989, there was no movie bigger or more important in the universe than BATMAN. Especially if you were 12 years old. Seeing that movie changed my life. Thanks, LLL.

Interesting. So the original soundtrack featured non-film version tracks of the music? I've never noticed that before. (But then again, I hardly ever watch a film and then listen to the score back-to-back.) I used to say I was content with the OST and had no interest in an expanded version, but in light of this "film version" revelation, plus the expected multi-page booklet and the bonus track of "Joker's Commercial," I must now seriously consider picking this up. Thank you, LLL. Why not just take all my money? Not really. I've met several people my age who have distaste ranging from mild to severe when it comes to the 89 movie. I know a few as well. Ironically enough, they would proclaim their love for the '89 movie until 2005, when Batman Begins came out and they suddenly jumped on the "Bash Batman" bandwagon like lemmings and started going, "Well, the '89 movie was never really that good anyway." Yeah, that's why you said you loved it for so long. If you don't like the movie, that's fine, but turning around and suddenly feeling embarrassed by your liking for it nowadays just before the Nolan movies are so popular just makes you look stupid. Personally, animated movies aside, it's the only Batman movie (along with its sequel) that I care to watch.

While working on the Krull set, did you guys get to hear the un-license-able song? Yes, it's quite nice. If I remember correctly its the love theme with lyrics. MV MV, could you tell us who were singing the song and what is the title of it?

KRULL is one of my top-five faves of all time. Have the SuperCollector, but will re-buy anyway. Have never been wanting for more Elfman BATMAN, but it sounds interesting -- will consider! Keep up the good work, LLL! First, let me say that I am not calling you an idiot. Secondly, why are you re-buying things you already have? It's a great score, it really is. But if you already have it, why not let someone else get that copy?

I'm re-buying it as well. Mark!!! I'm just wondering, aside from the fact that it's going to be in a smaller jewel case ($20 for a jewel case?), the liner notes ($20 for liner notes?), and the remastered audio (how much better can you make it sound?), why bother? LLL puts out so many good titles that you probably don't have, why buy another Krull? I've already spent $85 on Krull over the years (the Gold disc and the Super Tracks edition, which I instantly converted into a slimline 2CD case), and I'm sure you guys have, too. For another $25, the Ambrosian Singers should drive over to my goddamn house to sing their choral parts. I'm not trying to completely take a crap on this release or anything (as much as it sounds like it!!), I'm just trying to figure out the logic here. With the wealth of titles coming out, it just seems...I don't know, strange and unusual to re-buy so instantly.
