Indeed. Mine should arrive soon with lots of other Intrada goodies.
I have no doubt that I will enjoy it cos I've liked Powell's music previously. Yes, even LADYHAWKE.
The clips sounded great and there's another CD of Powell music out there that's worth picking up. The one in which he collaborated with an old friend of his.

Over 25 copies sold in 5 days!

THIS WILL SELL OUT!

"Peter I HATED Ladyhawke, no way on Earth I'd give Andrew Powell another chance!"
"Never seen or heard of the score & I don't buy scores from films I haven't seen."
These might be true and that's FINE, but look at all the POSITIVE comments from everyone about this score on this message board, Intrada's message board and other places. If everyone is in agreement there must be something to it. Maybe this score, even though it's a blind buy for 99.9% of people, IT'S WORTH IT! Solid orchestral melodic score. Get this now before the scalpers come in at the last second to grab the remaining stock and then force you to pay $$$ for this.

just finished watching this flick on amazon prime and it's actually a fine movie. and its directed by the guy who directed cocoon the return which i really enjoyed. Also surprising like someone else mentioned or maybe they didn't how many stars were in this much younger as the movie is 30 years old this year. the ending of the film with the music that swells was breathtaking. so sad that after this andrew powell didn't get to the next level. I'm guessing its because of the film and the fact it came and went with in a blink of an eye. sad really. put on the soundtrack right after and have been enjoying it all nite long.

David so glad you were able to find it. Doubt this movie will ever see a Blu-ray release, but it's still a pretty good film if you ask me.

This will be one in the next few days. I can not stress enough to get this now for the regular price before the eBay scalpers come in and buy the last few copies and then charge an arm and a leg for them. You have time to pick this up. Everyone who has bought this score, shockingly, has been thoroughly impressed by how beautiful, melodic it is. This is a blind buy for most people, but the over 450 people who have bought this so far have been glad they took the jump. Get this now for the regular price because it's going to be COSTLY on the secondary market. Why am I so pushy on this? Because the music is GREAT and I want this album in as many fellow soundtrack fans as possible because I know if you would take the leap you will be able to say, okay that was worth it. smile

Heartily seconded! I for one would not have gone near this title but for DMD's tireless passion
... Now I just need to pull it from the pile and see what all the fuss is about! :-)

You pile sounds like it may a bit high like mine is. So many great releases by all the great labels. Something I wish the days were a bit longer to get through my stash. Appreciate all the nice notes everyone including SchiffyM and Graham. My dream came true and now all of you get to enjoy it smile Nothing feels any better than this!

Congratulations Peter and well done.
My copy is still in shrink wrap with a lot of other goodies I bought from Intrada, but I will play it soon enough.
Have you heard the album called Full Circle he did? Lots of nice orchestral music by him on that CD.

How is it that this was a 500 unit limited edition? What happened to "as long as interest remains"? Also, why congratulate Peter? Does he work for Intrada in addition to working for Varese?

Well done, Peter!

I've gotten a lot of enjoyment listening to this CD.

Admittedly, I'm a sucker for Powell's work with Alan Parsons and on Ladyhawke (and I don't care if that score's anachronistic - I still love listening to it).

Congratulations!!

Peter was given the Executive Producer credit on this CD.

Anyone confused by how many units this was and/or “interest remains” must not have seen my 1000 posts and or read the product page where it stated this was always a 500 release. Intrada has a few 500 releases besides R.G. Reading, it’s a remarkable thing. smile The liner notes as well as well as the product page mentioned me and what I did on this release. Reading, it’s a groovy thing. smile Nothing more we can do if folks don’t read the product page in five months. It was all there in black font. I know it was as I read it a few times smile

Glad those that got it, got it!
