Track 03 - Defenders of Gotham - 1:00
Track 04 - Poison Ivy's Toxic Kiss - 4:46
Track 05 - Nora Und Freeze - :59
Track 06 - Confutatis Maledictis & Hym - 4:35
Track 07 - Danse Sardonique - 4:14
Track 08 - Elegy & Death Forethought - 3:20

TOTAL TRT - 45:29

I still much prefer listening to the full 2-hr score, though.

as i dislike most musical representations of "HOORAY" and "HOORAH", and everything in between, my playlist from Batman Forever runs at 45mins, avoids the main theme except in slower, lower variations, and is an A1 superb listen. To get the most out of Batman and Robin I too would need the full two hours to pull tracks from. An instant buy for me.

This score needs a release. The album version Goldenthal made is one of the best cds I've ever heard.

Yeah, even "my" 79 minutes is a chore to listen to - alot of the main theme- ALOT!

I'm sorry to see that the YouTube link has been taken down. This glimpse into an alternate world where we got the score album really made my day when I heard it. It was a fantastic album.

So composer Elliot Goldenthal just tweeted the following image:

I spy sitting next to LLL's Batman Forever, is a CD labelled Batman and Robin. What do you all think?

Bats eyes at the LLL boys.

*if you view the actual image on Twitter you'll see it's much larger, and the CD says: "Complete Original Motion Picture Score"

I took a look on twitter, seems that the spine is more blurry than the rest of the CDs perhaps indicating that he made copy himself or bought a b**t of the score?

What do you all think?

Undoubtedly a bootleg. I'm sure Goldenthal either didn't notice or didn't care.

Pretty sure he'd notice a score than he never got paid 1 cent of royalties on if he sued Warner Bros and Tyler Bates for ripping him off on 300...

And back to the original question, I want it all including the 45 minute release that was canned.

I don't think it's Goldenthal himself posting on that account, but rather his assistant.

Maybe a version of the canned planned release he got as a keepsake? How far did that project get?

And as for the original question (How much music would you want on the release? All of it, all 2 hours (ish) of score on two discs?):

I would like the complete score in all of its glory...sans the one brief cue "Outbreak of Chillera." That would be cool.

I’m torn on this. I would likely prefer the original 50min album he compiled. I see that as unlikely though, maybe as a bonus on disc 2.

The LLL Forever release was great, but just too much. I think it’s also because the BF score is just so all over the place. Much like EG’s Titus.

For me, some scores have clearly benefited from expansions of everything composed. The Burbs, Gremlins 2, Die Hard 2, First Blood, and so many more. For years I wanted Die Hard with a Vengeance and LLL’s release is stunning. But dear god, it’s so long. And so repetitive. I rarely make it to the end. There’s so much great material, that I wish Kamen had completed the score by the time it was time to do the soundtrack. The original was good, and for me, the big missing cues were just Bank Invasion, Hooking The Boat, Bomb Goes Into Hold, and Oh Canada.

Yeah. Especially if they are stored horizontal. Yuck!
One cd.
One slot.
Vertical storage.

same here

nowadays, I much preffer a 45 min Goldenthal assembled album than 2 discs with +2hrs of B&R score full of little cues and alternates and repetitions...
