Thanks for doing this again.

I'd be interested in the Rambo scores.

The best sequel, has to be Empire Strikes Back. Improvements in effects and expertly directed.by Kershner.

My favorite sequel? Sheesh... good question, and one not so easily answered.

When I scroll through the answers, I find many of the same movies that came to my mind right away too... like THE GODFATHER II, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, or the DOLLAR movies if you view them as sequels...

I will try to narrow it down a bit. I won't mention movies like THE TWO TOWERS etc., which I don't consider sequels (as the The Lord of the Rings is bascially just one long movie in three parts), or franchise movies with lots of entries, like James Bond, which are not so much "sequels"... but by and large?

I would say, THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK is probably the best and most important sequel movie ever made. And perhaps indeed my favorite sequel. That movie single handedly expanded the STAR WARS universe, build a huge franchise out of the success of STAR WARS (1977), is pop culturally hugely influential (and everybody knows whose father Darth Vader is). So of all the sequels that are there, I would pick this one as my favorite sequel and also as the most influential sequel ever. Unfortunately, all the STAR WARS movies that came after it never managed to reach the height of EMPIRE anymore.

As far as for which entry... I do own every single score and CD on the list. So I would not want to snatch away any of these scores for myself (they are all so great... I already have them... definitely GREAT prizes). But I wish you all great luck for these superb prices!

I enter out of competition.

Thanks Adam for the opportunity to participate again!

I'd like to be in the running for:

1 - CONAN THE BARBARIAN and CONAN THE DESTROYER by Basil Poledouris (Intrada)

#2 - JURASSIC PARK and THE LOST WORLD by John Williams (LLL)

#3 - FIRST BLOOD and RAMBO II and RAMBO III by Jerry Goldsmith (Intrada)

My favourite sequel films, in no particular order:

Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home - although arguably not the best sequel in the series, I credit this film for reigniting my interest in film scores after a brief detour into pop music in the mid 80s.

Aliens - this was the first film in the franchise that I got to see, being a bit too young to have seen the original on release. Sigourney was magnificent in this (the Bitch was no slouch either) and I loved the tech.

The Empire Strikes Back - Star Wars blew my little 5 year old mind in '77 and this was an incredible follow up on every level, not least because this was Vader's film and oh, that The Imperial March!

Congratulations to all of this year's winners... Enjoy all the great music!

And GREAT they were... I would argue that EVERY SINGLE offering in this year's contest could undoubtedly be a contender to rank amongst the GREATEST film score music EVER composed in the history of film scores...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to Adam, and to all of my fellow soundtrack fanatics!

Holy smokes, I won. Yes Virginia, there is an Adam Claus ...

Side note, I remember winning several years ago ("War of thew Worlds" by John Williams") but the package was either stolen or lost in transit. Fingers crossed that this one arrives unscathed.
