SeaQuest arrive in the mail today (amazingly, the discs are intact). It sounds pretty darn good.

I haven't done a detailed comparison, but I listened to the original album the other day and the pilot score tonight, and I'd say the deluxe edition defintiely sounds a lot fuller and richer.

Oh so they were shipped already then? Nice! I'm more used to LLL which takes ~a few weeks before they start shipping.

Varese does send shipping info. I received an email (and tracking) when they shipped, as well as an email when USPS was 'Out for Delivery'.

SeaQuest goodness in the post today... hurrah! Quick question, is the original album redundant with this new release? I believe so, but some of the track titles are the same, some are merely similar and some don't appear on the new release at all, but I assume that's just renaming rather than absence. Can anyone confirm? Ta!

While im really happy about this i believe the series deserved the box set treatment with Don Davis's music put in alongside Debneys but hey il take what i can get!
Don Davis' score for the two hour second season premiere, "Daggers," was exceptional. Reallynice score, especially the epiosde credits sequence as the inmates do their morning exercise. When Russ Landau took over, the series lost a lot of its musical identity.

I think it's now redundant, but I'm gonna be keeping it because it was a solid presentation. Same reason I kept the 30 minute SCREAM/SCREAM 2 album. Sometimes you wanna get in and out in half an hour.
