Is it the logo of the film(s), or the logo for the press release?

Didn't MV confirm - in this thread, or the other - that an expanded MOONRAKER was coming?

No. But Mr. Marshall confirmed it was coming on April Fool's Day. So there's hope!

Someone was paying attention!

...and it should be considering it has taken 3 months just to finalize the the logo, the branding, the credits and the press release).

MV

Thinking about what MV actually wrote. He said the three months was for not just the logo, but also includes the branding, credits and press release, so the logo may actually have been fairly easy. Credits can be a problem, and if there's something unusual about the release then the press release might need careful attention. I imagine we're talking multiple interested parties all wanting to have themselves represented a certain way and MV's been in the middle of the haggling...

Great, 100 Rifles is the last of the Goldsmith westerns I wanted. I already have the Kritzerland, Rio Conchos, but I'm happy to have a spare, it's one of my favourite western scores, & for a really great western.

If there were no issues with the logo why would he even mentioned it? He could have written in that case:

The Towering Inferno was a Warner/Fox co production. Would this be a Logo issue to speak of? I'm sure some would indeed consider this "meh" since it would be a reissue of sorts. Don't know what the bigger picture would be though?

Wouldn't it be great if it were an 'Irwin Allen John Williams Disaster Film Collection' set featuring TOWERING INFERNO, POSIEDON ADVENTURE and EARTHQUAKE all covered in a definitive set?

I was promised John Williams Dracula..and John Williams The River...someone once again is asleep at the switch over at La La Land.

Well, I guarantee it wont be EIGER SANCTION since no label will even discuss it, let alone promise it.

Are we missing anything from THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE between the 2 existing releases?

Just one unimportant trifle - both are OOP for years and some people missed both versions and not so rich to buy them from ebay for $90-125!

Seriously? Why? Is it an Eastwood thing? I only discovered this score last year and it's become a total favorite.

I fear it's starting to feel like "score with logo trouble" = any score I've been waiting for!

Yes, pretty much! Including me.

The ironic thing is very little is missing from the existing MR cd.( discussed in other threads) .
Unless Barry wrote music for the climax that went unused - ala OHMSS- folks will be disapponted!
Brm

I just asked.
I didn't imply that it wasn't needed...
No need to be sarcastic about it.

GHOSTBUSTERS II, he said, hopefully, in confidence that it's incorrect.

Totally wishful thinking on my part, but could the mystery title be The Towering Inferno re-release at long last? It's Williams, & involving two big studios (Fox & Warner) so it could take 3 months just to finalize the logo, the branding, the credits and the press release, & will be a meh release for those who already have it.

Personally I'd love if it was LLL putting out a Lucasarts collection. Definitive versions of soundtracks on CD to games like Grim Fandango etc. (the remastered OST is digital only). Other games like the Monkey Island series, and the Indiana Jones games would be cool. Some logo history here:

Highly doubtful it would be a Lucasarts series - but I can dream.
