2 LLL Comic-Con titles revealed (thanks to Jason LeBlanc and MV in this thread):
http://filmscoremonthly.com/board/posts.cfm?threadID=89712&forumID=1&archive=0

Green Lantern: The Animated Series
Presenting the original score to the acclaimed hit DC animated series Green Lantern - The Animated Series, currently airing on Cartoon Network. Composer Frederik Wiedmann fashions an amazing, pulse-pounding original score that propels the legendary Green Lantern to out-of-this-world heights. Packed with more than 70 minutes of thrilling super hero music from some of the show's greatest moments!

Used Cars (Patrick Williams; also includes the mostly unused score of Ernest Gold)

Unless I read it incorrectly, these two are the first post-Comic-Con titles and not the actual Comic-Con titles.

Green Lantern: The Animated Series

Happy for this, but wish it came with Batman TAS Volume 2. frown

You read correctly, these are LLL's July 31st titles, NOT two of the Comic Con titles. None of those have been revealed yet.

I'm thinking Thundercats is likely to be one of the Comic-Con titles, seeing that MV announced that he was working with Kevin Kleisch on that one earlier this year.

I apologize in advance for not keeping up with this topic, but is The X-Files Vol. 2 expected to be a 2012 release?

The last I heard about it was that is was planned for December this year.

Wow. I go on vacation for 1 week - 1 week! - and look what happens.

Upcoming Comic-Con titles:

BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES: VOL 1 (Second Edition)

Back by popular demand, La-La Land has re-issued its 2008 sold-out title for the legions of BTAS fans who missed out on this dynamite release’s initial debut. This “second edition” re-issue is virtually identical to the 2008 version, except the bonus tracks “Gotham City Overture” and “Music of the Bat” have been removed to preserve the integrity of the initial release. Get it before it sells out – again! Limited Edition of 5000 Units.
Comic Con price $25

BATMAN THE ANIMATED SERIES: VOL 2 (4-CD SET)

Literally years in the making, La-La Land proves the wait was worth it with this amazing 4-CD set of previously unreleased music from arguably the greatest animated television series of all time! The set’s 36 page booklet is packed with in-depth liner notes that take you through a treasure trove of astounding orchestral scores; music that rivals any blockbuster feature film. Composers Shirley Walker, Harvey R. Cohen, Carlos Rodriguez, Lolita Ritmanis, Michael McCuistion, Carl Swander Johnson and others are musically represented here, as well as Danny Elfman’s iconic theme. Limited Edition of 3500 Units.
Comic Con price $60

X-MEN 2: X MEN UNITED (2-CD SET)

Finally, John Ottman’s stupendous X2 score gets its much-deserved deluxe treatment, remastered and expanded with a 2-CD presentation that offers more than 50 minutes of music beyond the original 2003 soundtrack release. Improved sound and exclusive, in-depth liner notes take this noteworthy score to new superheroic heights! Limited Edition of 3500 Units.
Comic Con price $25

THE PHANTOM

Likewise, David Newman’s majestic score to the 1996 feature film of the same name gets remastered and expanded in deluxe fashion, running almost a full 30 minutes longer than the original ’96 soundtrack release. This is a big, classic film score that covers all the bases (action, thrills, romance) in high style! Like all La-La Land limited editions, this release features in-depth, exclusive liner notes and attractive packaging design. Limited Edition of 3000 Units.
Comic Con price $20

The above titles will be exclusively available July 12-15th (and on Preview Night July 11) at Comic Con from La-La Land Records (Booth 429 “Toy Hungry”).

All four titles will subsequently be released at www.lalalarecords.com (and other online soundtrack boutiques) on July 19th, 1pm PST.

Future Upcoming Scores:
Used Cars (Patrick Williams, Ernest Gold)
Green Lantern: The Animated Series (Frederik Wiedmann)
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 4-Disc Set (Various Composers)
The Bodyguard (Alan Silvestri)
Black Rain 2-Disc Set (Hans Zimmer)

Again, WOW.

Wondering if any Comic Con titles will be available as signed... especially X2 and Phantom would be pretty cool ;-)

This is good news. From LLL's Facebook page, someone asks:
Hello Lala Land Records ! I love your various releases most especially the Batman Animated Series soundtrack. How about releasing the JUSTICE LEAGUE ANIMATED SERIES SOUNDTRACK?? Do you guys have any plans of releasing that? Please do so as we have been waiting for so many years. Both the JUSTICE LEAGUE and JUSTICE LEAGUE UNLIMITED series score in one volume if possible (or even as 2 separate volumes) How about it? :-)

To which LLL replies:
Our plan is to tackle all the DCU stuff over the course of the next 2 years.

I know plans can change, but the fact that all this in the works and confirmed by the label itself is fantastic.

All 4 will be signed and available on July 19. However, if purchased at Comic con it will not be signed. Those editions are saved for the website.

There is a similar quote in one of the threads here were they state they hope to get down to Animaniacs and Tiny Toons too ... here we go

Our plan is to have [Batman: The Animated Series] Vol 3 out next year (possibly another 4 disc set). That would be all the music we would release from the first 65. We are also contemplating releasing an empty box when vol 3 comes out so people can put all 3 volumes inside. It would be like $5 (or around there) if people wanted to buy it separately or free with purchase of Vol 3...something like that.

Then we would focus on the "Adventures of Batman and Robin" and "The New Batman Adventures."

Hopefully, Superman TAS, Justice League (TAS and Unlimited) and the two BTAS animated direct to DVD movies (Subzero and Batwoman) will also see the light of day in the next few years.

This is some of the finest music written for television. It's been a joy and honor to bring these out and we hope to continue to mine this incredible slate of superhero music.

We are also looking into stuff like Animaniacs and Tiny Toons. The ealry 90's was truly the 2nd Golden Age of Animation at Warners Bros. We are doing our part to preserve that legacy.

Oh, sweet. I just didn't catch the 'all the animated stuff' quote. Hearing that they're going after 'all of it' sounds good!

Short off-topic question: It's been a while since I have ordered from LLL directly - is there an invoice (or a different paper stating the price) coming with the shipment? Just need to know, thanks!

I don't believe they include paper invoices, although you do receive an invoice in your e-mail

I would love to see some Tiny Toons and Animaniacs music. I loved both of these cartoons in the 90's and they had great music and awesome songs.

Thanks, mate. Actually I don't want them to include an invoice in the shipment.

Latest FB post:
"August 28 -- we are back with a vengeance and hope to have 2 or 3 titles up for sale at 1 pm pst."

A possible hint for one of the titles? Maybe an action wave of releases including Black Rain as well?

If that is a hint then no doubt it has to be Die Hard 3... Yippy kay yeah mf!!

I'm thinking Die Hard 3 is at least one the titles to. If Black Rain was another that would be fantastic.
