Thoughts on the Oscar-winning score for All Quiet on the Western Front, a terrific film!

Yup, inferior non-musical wall paper scores are the Oscar winners now, have been for quite a recent years now.
It is not much of an award.

yeah, it is ludicrous, 'best score' award, it is comically untrue

Dunkirk is one of the worst film scores I have ever heard, astoundingly bad.
The only plus for it is that Dunkirk is so edited so needlessly convoluted manner that the score is the only glue that holds it together. But it is basically rusty plates dragged across concrete floors while a clock ticks.

Farewell to Off Vine, a wonderful Hollywood restaurant, where I was a mildly drunk dickhead to Sharon Stone and she smacked me down.

So, uh… is that autobiography "Confessions of a Dickhead" gonna be released any time soon, or is it still tied up in legal? /s

Eh? Burlingame's book is available as an ebook.

Certainly, I downloaded my Kindle version from Amazon UK a couple of weeks ago, as the hardback isn't published here until June.

Looked like a lovely place. RIP.
Hope you feel better about your interaction with Stone after the staff told you she's a diva.

The rest of the story is that when I went into the house to use the bathroom, the wait staff, to whom I had confessed my embarrassment, said, “Please be as rude to her as you want.”

I was like, “What? Why?”

They said she was a pain in the ass: it was always too cold, or too hot, or the food was too this or too that.

========================================

Since it sounds like she was a frequent patron, I bet her food always had had juuuuust the right amount of spit in it every time she visited...

All the streaming services are drowning in debt, big productions don't cover costs in memberships or retain customers. Reality shows are cheap and make money. Not saying its a good thing but its probably a sound business decision. Kinda surprised the premium channels haven't dived into reality TV until now.
