Just watched this movie. Such a good soulful film... about human dreams and hopes. And all this wonderful atmosphere is complemented by a beautiful score by James Horner. Great that LLL will release an expanded soundtrack)
Hopefully it won't be like Batteries not Included.
What was wrong with that one? I don't remember.
Presumably he didn’t like the complete score spilling over to a second disc, which also included the original album program. In this case (as with Glory) I don’t think the complete score of Field of Dreams is long enough that it would even have to spill over onto the second disc.

Exciting news of another Horner remastered expansion immediately followed by criticism before the specifics of the release are even known.

And that is key, because the underscoring of certain moments in addition to longer passages adds so much to the motion picture experience. Solid marriage between film and music as evidenced by images impossible to not "see" while listening to the soundtrack.
? Because Jason returns. He created separate threads for 48 Hrs. (while we already have one, about upcoming Intrada's releases. Post this message (while while flyer also was posted earlier)....
I had no idea that Austin Wintory was doing a podcast, and I had no idea it was as good as it is. Wow. This is going to have to become a regular listen.
That said I also had no idea how special the French horn solo in the opening of Field of Dreams was. Jim Thatcher was known for being a good friend of Horner's and someone Horner wrote specifically for (Collage, for example). I'm sure Horner wouldn't have written it if he didn't think Thatcher could do it and boy did he.
He has at least five different programs he works on, but the one with Troy Baker, where he "educates" the actor on the power and influence of film scores (as well as television and game scores) is the best by far. Thanks for taking a look at that, C8, and I hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
