I think this is what a sequel score for AVATAR would sound like from JNH. Nah, I think he would do something much better than this for an Avatar film. He clearly got steered in the wrong direction when writing this score. The score is not that bad. It is a good score. Not one of his best, but certainly has its moments. I will agree that if Howard scores Avatar, it should be a lot better than this. I just assumed Zimmer would do Avatar. It's a big money franchise for Disney. He could do a little Lion King esque stuff perhaps. And wonder woman 1984 should instill enough confidence round these parts that he could pull off an Avatar score.

I could be completely wrong, but I still don't buy Zimmer and Cameron working together. Cameron: "You need to drop all your projects and only work on Avatar 2,3,4,5,6. Plus you need to adapt all of Horner's themes." Zimmer: "Hey Chris, Patty, Denis, Ron, I going off the grid for a couple of years to help build Horner's legacy. See y'all later." I don't see this conversation happening. But then again, he is a fan of Zimmer, and maybe RCP resources are exactly what Cameron needs, so they compromised somehow I guess.

Anyone else find it strange that there is no composer credit on the official album cover?

Didn't Disney used to have a terrible reputation for not giving THE TALENT up front and centre credit?
