I was listening to the 2 disc version quite a bit since this version was announced. This is a very interesting score. There are so many different styles, sometimes within the same scene/cue. It's really interesting listening to the different cues and seeing how the orchestra struggled with certain parts in certain takes and nailed it in other takes. It's a really good study in the effort that goes into a major tent-pole film score production. Bravo to Intrada for giving us this excellent presentation. I'm looking forward to really analyzing some of the differences between the three releases in the coming days. ********* Being totally irreverent and silly here, did any body else think the color scheme on disc 3 and 4 were kind of ugly? Not a serious complaint but I had a little chuckle when I saw the colors--reminds me of a certain scene in The Exorcist...

I have been the proud owner of every version of this score, and I was happy to triple-dip with the 4-cd set. Intrada has had a helluva year, even given the pandemic.

The song should start at 0:25.63 of the bridge. The bridge should then fade out and end at 0:32.76 for the song to take over completely. I could be wrong, but I believe the film uses the shorter 4:06 "Single Version" of the song that was on the CD single, and not the longer 6:34 album version that's on the soundtrack.

My recollection is similar, although it's been a while since I have watched the movie. I had been assuming o'er these many years that the film end credits used the "Everything I Do" album version up to 4:06 of that track. The remainder of the album cut goes on for another 2+ minutes. Ah, I'm listening to the song now, and I think you may be right. The song ends at 4:06 and then after a moment of silence, the extended portion begins. So you could just take the album version and hack off the extended riffing after the main body of the song.

This score is incredible. Bravo Intrada for releasing the most comprehensive version of Kamens opus. I totally agree! One of the greatest scores of the 1990s, absolutely stunning on every level, with some of the most memorable thematic writing in film history.

From Doug yesterday: "10/4/2020 Thank you all for making our re-visit to Robin Hood: Prince Of Thieves a resounding success. It is a masterful work and having all of that additional music sure drives it all home!" Indeed! Thanks again guys. Edit: apparently the first run is already sold out.
