Aside from some cues here and there, I haven't heard a Star Wars score film from Williams that makes me want to own the CD since the original trilogy, especially that way overrated Revenge of the Sith score. I hold out hope for what may very well be his final Star Wars score, but I also won't hold my breath. His approach just morphed away from what made me love his music in scores a long time ago.

I like Sith better than Jedi. He has an incredible body of work from say Jaws to ET. I think those are timeless classics and never tire of them. The rest are hit and miss with a few stand outs here and there like Jurassic Park. If they make this film a little more dramatic it could be good but the way they make and edit films today don't bode well for "classical" composers.

It's also reflective of the films themselves. After 1983, the films he was offered rarely were of the quality of Raiders of the Lost Ark or The Empire Strikes Back. I'm sure when he saw the rough cut of The Return of The Jedi, he probably wondered how he ended up composing music for another death star run, dancing teddy bears and endless scenes of a fat space slug.

Opps, above hyperlinks not working. You have to copy and past the entire code into the browser to see the poster art. Or highlight and right click open in new tab/window.
An advertising style that worked really well for them in the 90's. But why they would use that for a live action film and make it look like a cartoon is beyond me.
Oh, there's nothing wrong with it. It just looks like so many similar posters I've seen throughout the years in those poster art books and online.
I miss Drew
The Emperor is to large in the image. To much wasted space. Plus the Emperor looks stylistically different from the illustration on the bottom. Take out the Emperor and put the logo on top and it would be better. IMHO. Also the artistic style looks like an advertisement for an animated film not a live action film.

Fun fact: That new poster used an image of a toy instead of actually getting Ian Mcdiarmid to pose for a new photo.
It was so weird that theyt built up Snoke to be THE baddie of this sequel trilogy ( They even used The Emperors theme for the copy/paste Throne room scene from ROTJ in The Last Jedi ) only to despatch him in the second movie.
But this is JJ Abrams were talking about here, the guy is creatively bankrupt so just uses images, scenes, and characters from older better movies rather that come up with anything good and original of his own.
Regarding the new score though, does anyone think the Bespin music will return as a theme for Lando?
