I can concur with this thought as well, but of course I will remain optimistic, especially seeing as a label is mentioned. But I will be first in line to get a copy if and when it's out on disc.
Cannot wait! We got He-Man a couple years ago. If we get Transformers AND GI Joe this year that would pretty much fulfill my cartoon series music wishlist!
The newly remastered " Revenge the Ninja Album was completed and delivered to Varese Sarabande Records for CD release about 5 weeks ago. It features lots of new content as well as original tracks from 33-year old audio masters that I carefully kept in storage - and that that have been greatly enhanced. Hope everyone enjoys it! Transformers Classic Releases are next - my 50 - piece orchestra scores to the original 1938-1988 Marvel TV series are in remastering now. Next is G.I. Joe, My Little Pony, Jem. To be released as a collector's edition on Blu_ray disc featuring 5.1 surround, new video interviews with original cast and crew, artwork and original show video. On Sony Records. www.screenmusic.com.
Blu-ray Audio G1 scores in 5.1 - should be interesting. That will bump my Blu-ray audio soundtracks up to a total of 5! The other 4 are Final Fantasy XIV releases. Stunners.
Just wonder if the soundtrack will have a visual component.

I don't have a blu-ray player , but the Transformers music is my absolute holy grail. I wonder if I should invest in one.

Please don't quote me but I think they cost from $40 and up. Depending on the company brand.

They are cheaper than I thought...but I'm holding my breath for a cd/download/vinyl as well
Interesting... a release of the music on blu-ray is unexpected, but I guess if other content is included this is the only option. Still, I don't know how I'm going to get that music from the blu-ray onto my iPod.
The only other reason for it being on Blu-ray that I can think of is that it would be a special feature as an isolated track on a release of the actual series on Blu-ray. But not sure if it could hold up on blu-ray visually?

Another collector mentioned that there might be too much music for just one cd , but it would fit on a blu-ray. I don't know if blu-ray's work like that though
I would buy at least 50 copies of a Jem score cd, for example. And maybe more than 50. here in Italy anime and cartoon scores are much more apreciated and popular than film scores. There are more "cartoon music" collectors than "movie music" collectors.
jem? Are you serious? Anyone seriously wants that turd?
What's wrong with it? The background music is exactly the same type as Transformers and G.I.Joe. It's just a girl series.
And for goodness' sake, no one who posts on this site has any reason to throw shade towards someone else's holy grail of TV/movie music. I mean, every single one of us has some favorite score that might seem odd in another context, that is to a non-soundtrack collector.
