Ok, here is one. What about a complete edition of STARGATE by David Arnold? No offense to Varese, but thier expanded edition is shrill and hard on the ears. And it's not complete. Any chance, La La?

-Rick O.

What's missing from it? It's been a while since I saw the movie, but I thought it was complete.

The Varese DE expands to include all the essential previously unreleased cues, but there is about 15 mins of additional music in the film (Particularly in the first third) The one standout cue (if included in the Deluxe Edition would have made it perfect) is the one where they first send the test drone through the Stargate. Aside from that, the Varese album really was delightful, particularly for the "Transporter Horror" cue. My holy Grail at the time.

As a footnote, I remember calling Milan records back in 1994 about a projected release date for the CD (It had been delayed for weeks). I actually spoke to someone in the production department and while inquiring he told me that the album was slated to be longer. Apparently they trimmed a few tracks for whatever reason, but the original run time was to be 70 mins+. Based on what the Milan rep was reading from an earlier track list.

Are there plan to release the next Police Academy score? The sequel had a great soundtrack too and we could all use a little more Robert Folk. I remember there being plans to continue the series, but wondered if that was still the case or not.

Been trying since 2013, but the powers that be at MGM have put it on hold due to the reboot. We even got Dean Devlin to back us up, but no dice. We keep trying. Hopefully something will happen eventually.

Plans, yes. Probably 2018

Chance of any of the following;

Marked For Death (James Newton Howard)
The Running Man Expanded (Faltermeyer)
The Hitman (Chuck Norris)
Rage and Honor 1 / 2 (Darryl Way)
Code Of Silence (David Michael Frank)

I think another label has it
Wish I knew who owns it
Have not looked into it

With the passing of Jonathan Demme yesterday it made me think of Howard Shore's very moody (and beautifully strings/woodwinds-heavy) score to Silence of the Lambs... I've had the original soundtrack CD for over 20 years but would like to know if the good folks at LLL ever considered an expanded/remastered version? smile

We looked into it, but like with Seven Mr Shore's label wanted to do it so we stepped aside. That was a few years ago

Well I'll buy it when ever it's released. Love the first score.

There were some questions in the Lost in Space Box set thread regarding cover art and track names displaying on PC's and discrete players during playback. I provided what little I know about third party software like Gracenote. My question is, "Does La La Land and Intrada and Kritzerland, etc. provide information to software companies like Gracenote?" The vast majority of your in-house developed CD's are not available in brick and mortar stores and most websites, so how does Gracenote get the cover art and track names for your CD's. Do you provide the info to them, do they come to you? How does it work with the discs you develop and sell?

We carefully encode each one of our discs with metadata about each track and recently have been encoding them with isrcs. As for Gracenote one of our fans usually ends up uploading the info...on occasion one of our producers does.

I have tons of cds from Universal and Sony and Disney where none of this is done.

Damn... just working my way through Arrow's new boxset and started looking into RAVAGER. I saw an e-mail that someone had posted from Christopher Stone saying there was a soundtrack release planned, was hoping you guys were involved with it.

Max Steiner probably isn't up you alley, but let my try anyway:
Any chance a proper release of Now Voyager or Jezebel is at hand?

In regards to my Lois & Clark question...

Not to worry - it was worth a try asking.

I already know that the more modern (and darker) television scores are far more important to release than something positive and thematic such as this gem.

Fans like myself will probably be hard of hearing by the time it does get released - and the younger people now - will probably not care anyway. That is just too bad... (but I guess I knew your answer MV, before you posted it, considering the lack of enthusiasm I got from my first thread!)

Superman is still "flying" now - but in 5 to 10 years time - no one will care about the Henry Cavill films - or whatever else Warner Bros is doing with the character at this present time.

Unless its Williams Superman doesn't sell. Shame too. I love the red and blue boyscout.

Hi MV ..Any chance at all of squeezing out another MILLENNIUM release? There's just something about Mr Snow's music for that series that always gave it the edge over the X-Files for me. Eternally grateful for the two brilliant volumes you released.

No plans for more Millennium

Nope

Please MV could you update us on any possible future Paramount / LLL digital downloads? Thanks.

If I had any news I would post it.

X-Men's been mentioned a few times in the past so hopefully some news on that one is forthcoming! smile

Not 2017

That is a huge shame. Supes gets a raw deal compared to Bats. I know it's never going to happen, but I'd be all over a second volume of Smallville.

It's X-Files meets Superman, people! (And I actually like Febre's material even better than Snow's.)

I wonder if there is any interest in revisiting the Logan's Run TV series in a more complete form?

No plans at this time
