Is Dan Goldwasser's talk done?

Are Matrix Reloaded, Turbulence, and The Warriors his only announcements?

From looking at this thread, I imagine Dan could float home using his own head.

God, keep your pants on, people.

Super, SUPER excited about The Warriors. I love the hell out of that score and the album needed way more of it. When when when?

Here's what I discussed:

- PATRIOT GAMES (James Horner) - July 2
- TURBULENCE (Shirley Walker) - July 16
- THE CONJURING (Joseph Bishara) - July 16
- THE WARRIORS (Barry De Vorzon) - July 30
- KICK-ASS 2 (Henry Jackman and Matthew Margeson) - Aug 13
- THE X-FILES, Vol. 2 (Mark Snow) - Sept 10
- POLICE ACADEMY (Robert Folk) - TBA
- WYATT EARP (James Newton Howard) - TBA
- THE MATRIX RELOADED (Don Davis) - TBA

That's 9 titles, and some were known in advance, but all had sound clips played. wink

I also discussed the process on getting EVIL DEAD released, as well as WYATT EARP.

Sounds like an awesome presentation, I wish I could have been there, or that there was a way for me to hear the clips now!

And yes, the other 6 titles were already known. Heck, Kick-Ass 2 and The Conjuring are already on Amazon!

Unless his opinion has changed since, MV said in April last year:

"Planet Of The Apes is most likely the last of the expansions of the Elfman/Burton series of soundtracks. The box set did such a great job covering their collaboration I certainly see no point in releasing another version of the remaining scores in the future. Both Batman Returns and Planet Of The Apes were already being produced at the time of the box set’s announcement, so those two titles made the cut. As for other Elfman titles, you never can tell"

The Warriors by Brian De Vorzon

This is one we are most excited about. Not only does the original album sound better than ever, we have also unearthed several score cues that were cut from the film, presented for the first time in this release.

If you are not familiar with the score think John Carpenter circa Escape From New York (the film AND the score certainly inspired that film)

If you have not seen the film -- watch it! It's a great, gritty Walter Hill masterpiece!

CAN YOU DIG IT?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MV

PS Joe Walsh's IN THE CITY has never sounded so good!

Yes yes YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

For all its stylistic flourishes THE WARRIORS still plays as fresh and modern today as it did nearly 35 years ago. There's a real artistry to what Walter Hill does as a filmmaker that seems to be lost today.

I just wish the original version was available on BD.

I heard something about Tiomkin's WILD IS THE WIND at some point

Though, of course, that's not certain.

Are you sure Kick-Ass 2 is 1272? It's not a WB film. 1271 maybe?
