The price will be around $200. Maybe slightly above but I don't think anywhere near $300.
And yes, this is every note of music heard in the series--plus music recorded for the show and never used, so not only is nothing missing, but there's stuff no fan has ever heard before--rather a lot actually.
And yes, Jeff Bond is happy.
Me, too.
Jeff, hearing those excerpts in the video confirmed for me why this is such a landmark release (and isn't it astounding the respective composers got this kind of sound from orchestras of no more than twenty-six, twenty-seven musicians?) This series simply brought out the apex of ability in everyone involved. I only wish Fred Steiner had lived long enough to see it all happen.
$200? Worth it. Every penny.
Thanks every so much LALA Land, Paramount/CBS, Jeff, Lukas.

First:
"The original Trek series scores team with action . . ."
They also "teem" with action.
Second:
Third:
If Jeff is happy, then I'm happy . . . but just for the record, Jeff, if "it wasn't the rights," then what would you say (briefly, of course) was the biggest obstacle(s) to this latest Trek music miracle occurring?
I'm one of the Elfman box owners, so the prices mentioned above all sound reasonable to me. The most surprising part of the announcement, to me personally, would have to be the existence of all these recorded but never used tracks, which I'm dying to hear.
I signed up (no confirmation yet in my email though!) -- and will start saving up for this set. I'll put off some other frivolous purchases (enhanced media player, etc.) and concentrate on making sure this can be mine. So much great music in this show.
I just watched the video on Facebook and now I'm really excited. "Elaan of Troyius" is a super-grail among the many grails in this set. [Nice models and props, Jeff!]
To all involved: this looks absolutely stellar and the quality is guaranteed given the team that's working on this. $200ish seems pretty reasonable for this and is comparable to the similarly phenomenal Herrmann box from last year.
Let's also not forget to give a should out to Neil Normal and GNP records for agree to participate to allow this set to be complete! Thanks!
sorry i didn't have time to scan this thread. amazing news and an incredible release. can i trade in my gnp discs now that this is coming into being? or are those rerecordings or some other variation that makes them worth saving?

I wish Fred Steiner had lived to see this.
Some of my favorite music from TOS in that episode.
YEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!! This is my holy grail!
Mine too, man! Great hopping snot, this is the music that got me into scores. I'd make the music by mouth while playing with my Mego action figures. The wife's already on board and we will budget our quatloos accordingly.
This is, no lie, the end of the line for for me on the whole Holy Grail thing. Everything else is on the "would be nice to have" list. If I never buy another score after this, I'll still feel complete.
Well worth the around $200. 45 years I've been waiting.
