Haven't found any further tracks as of yet. However, I did find a track in the expansive Capitol library that I believe heavily influenced one of John Harrison's pieces. The Harrison piece in question plays during Aunt Bedelia's flashback to the murder of her father. A similar piece with different instrumentation plays just before Nathan Grantham rises from the grave.

I believe it was based on the track Erik Markman - Piano (B). Have a listen for yourself here.

Thanks to a fan uploading the pilot episode of Tales From The Darkside, I can now supply you the clip I mentioned several months back from the episode in question. it starts at 9:02 and ends at 9:22 in the episode. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=FqFNJz3VKRw#t=543s Hopefully this track can be located now that you'll be able to hear more of it, and it ends with the flute-like echoey sounds (whereas in "The Lonely Death of Jordy Verril" all that is heard is the very end of the track).

Is it that tiny piece of what sounds like a few repeated flute notes? If so, that's gonna be a lot of fun to try and find wink

That would indeed be it. Obviously, it's a longer track that ends with those flute-like sounds. I was going to try and link a "Tales From The Darkside" episode the track was played in in what I'd assume was its entirety but apparently Paramount has stepped in on copyrights territory and removed the episodes from youtube. Virtually all music from "Creepshow" (library tracks) made its way to the first season of "TFTD" in various forms.

Sweet, thanks for that dude. I have actually downloaded the first season ripped from VHS already, as apparently the DVD's don't contain the original library music. Have watched a few and was on the lookout for that music, but hadn't viewed the pilot yet big grin

I watched the upcoming UK Blu Ray release tonight and it's really good. I noticed a fair amount of music that is yet to be tracked down. A definitive and complete editon of this soundtrack, library tracks and all, would be superb.

How was the picture quality of the UK blu ray? I'm in the US and may have to get a region free player.

PQ was really good in my opinion. Ive never seen Creepshow look so deep and detailed. Nice sound too. The squelching John Harrison cue when the old guy bursts out of his tomb nearly blew my speakers up. I jumped. It's also got two commentaries, a feature length documentary and the best stills gallery I've seen on any DVD or Blu Ray. Which funnily enough contains all the scanned liner notes from La La Lands CD. i assume they had permission for that?

Anyway, I reccomend it.

Hi everyone. If anyone is interested, I did piano solos of the "Creepshow" theme and a variation of it plus "The Crate" in three seperate videos under my Youtube name-Gorgotheking.

Does anyone have a definitive list of tracks, or at least composers of the production music used in Creepshow? Is it only Glindemann, Markman, Green and Hormel, or are there others? I've been wanting to track down this music for quite some time now, and am only now getting some leads since finding this site.

I have managed to acquire 10 tracks which were definitely used as cues throughout the film, and another 6 or so that may have been used in part, or possibly not at all. Haven't been able to confirm, they just sound familiar. Unfortunately I have not found the main track I have been searching for which is played during the Father's Day segment, when Bedelia is drinking at her father's grave site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers guys.

Sean

The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill

30:25 - Jan Kennedy - Freedom Flight
Plays as Jordy is drinking his vodka and orange, and the minister is on TV.

The Crate

1:35.06 Roger Webb - Eternal Light
Begins as Henry is wheeling the crate out of the university

As you probably know the expanded edition of the Creepshow soundtrack came out today. It has less than half of the cues from the film, and no "Bedelia at the grave" track, nor does it have "Charleston', the famous track that first plays on the jukebox, and is in the end credits of Evil Dead.

Hi everyone, long time no see. Thanks to some pointing in the right direction from ZDR, and the unfortunate death of Leonard Nimoy inspiring me to watch some old In Search Of.... episodes (which used the Capitol library) we now have the details on some more of the Creepshow cues. And yes, including the Bedelia cues, and the Jordy cue that popped up a lot in the first season of Tales From the Darkside smile
