Guys, i'm only disappointed because i was expecting a small suite (included as a bonus track) of music from Fright Night 2 also by Fiedel, which i think is even better than the first one. It's a shame. Will we see this score (Fright Night II) released? What do you think?

I know many fans of the films in France who are NOT members of this forum. About 10 000. There is a world out of soundtrack collectors, you know. And, yes, I'm well connected, that's my job. Wow, 10,000 huh? Well, that's a shame that 10,000 silly people are going to skip a great score, but there are other thousands who will happily buy it and be grateful for it. And you're a moderator on this forum ? Can't believe it... Speaking of silly people, stop thinking you're part of an elite because you prefer scores to songs.

Guys I have to ask, do you HONESTLY think our good friends at Intrada purposelessly said, "NAH, I don't want those songs on this score soundtrack." ? ? ? They were not able to get the songs for most likely a variety of reasons, WAY too expensive, or the LP rights people still held the rights or the one of the many variables like that. Let's give Intrada more credit you know. I would imagine they would have loved to have a good portion of the songs on the CD, but couldn't for most likely a rights issue. Or they could have released them, but then taken little to no profit on this entire CD. These guys have been doing this for 25 years, let's trust they tried their best, but in the end, they just couldn't, okay. I'm sure you're right, but may be Intrada can tell us what happened ? But I'm sure the lack of songs will alienate them many buyers and that's too bad because I wish the best for Intrada, that's all.

While it's really great to see how enthusiastic folks are about the release of Fright Night, it's always a shame to hear the indignation that the album wasn't put together the way some fan or other would like. I can't express the frustration that we in the business feel when years of effort and tens of thousands of dollars are expended to make an album become a reality---and then someone complains a little too loudly and often "If only..." For what its worth, we find ourselves saying "if only..." all the time. But if albums are going to happen despite missing and compromised masters, unbelievably tangled legalities, high restoration and licensing costs, and a host of unique challenges (it's always SOMETHING), at some point it's necessary to give it your best shot and go with what you've got. The folks at the boutique labels (FSM, Intrada, La-La-Land, Varese, et al) are not faceless corporate bean counters, they're fans like the rest of us, working against all odds to make these projects happen. A thank you is always welcome, and if you can't say something nice...
