I received my copy today. It's about as handsome a CD package as one can put together. Sound quality is wonderful. I haven't seen the film in many years, but the music brought back those images instantly. This is another feather in Intrada's cap.

CLASH, FLESH+BLOOD, and HUNTERS/THRESHOLD OF SPACE arrived today and I've been in movie music heaven all day. I had to listen to the 50s scores first because they were all new to me, but I have now settled into CLASH OF THE TITANS and I am blown away.
I am giving this a re-evaluation because it sounds completely new to my ears. After having only the LP ( I never bought the earlier CDs because I was never overly enthusiastic for this score), I'm hearing a lot of this for the first time...and it's AMAZING! What a great score.

I was originally very skeptical of claims that this was the best Rosenthal score, but I'm more welcoming of that argument now. All the new material and improved sound gives the arguments credence.
Personally, I still like BECKET and METEOR a tad better, but this is superb music, no question!

Loved the original album, but even so, what a revelation, and how gratifying, to hear so much more of this music away from the film, and in the film vs album versions. Perfect end to a great new year for holy grails. This, along with Star Trek V and Conan, was a huge one for me.

Hmmm, I just got an email from Intrada saying my order has been "fulfilled". I had thought I ordered too late to get a copy from the first 1,500 batch, but if "fulfilled" = "shipped" then I was happily wrong about that. Can't wait...

Thats what it means. My copies arrived yesterday, still boxed as I have at least two earlier orders to listen to (The Anything Goes sale, the Varese Club)

I would be interested to know as well. My order was just verified as 'fulfilled'. Does this mean shipped?

Awesome!! Thanks Moonie!

My order was put in just after the first 1500 were gone as well. Must have been some cancelled orders or something.

Can anyone tell what score is used in the movie trailer for 'Clash Of The Titans'? Especially the piece of music used at the moment when it comes to the cast list.

Actually, I was highlighting the trailer more than the music.

seriously, listen to it right now and this must be the best release of 2010 according to my opinion of course! very good sound and great artwork as usual.
It still puzzles me this title is still available, it should have been sold out right now, thanks so much Intrada! It can't get any better than this.....

I got this for Christmas and just finished listening. WOW, what a wonderful CD and it sounds so great. I think the ending track 14 and 21 that last few notes, the only words that come to mind to describe it are KICK ASS. One of my most favorite endings of any cue/score is the ending of Clash of the Titans.

It's a track by Shirley Walker from THE BLACK STALLION, titled The Ride.

Thank you Vermithrax and Elmo for your answer.

A serious kick butt release. But I love Rosenthal's writing.

Very kick butt indeed! Mr. Rosenthal could keep up with the very best.

The new film was okay, but the 1981 original will live on...

Cheers!

I just watched the film on Blu-ray (the only positive aspect of the remake is that it brought such attention back to the original) a few days ago, and I cranked the sound real loud so I could hear Rosenthal's score sing out. Intrada's edition is everything I would have hoped for and more.

One of my favorite aspects of the new set is hearing "The Constellations" without Laurence Olivier's narration over it. The orchestrations is gorgeous, and I'd never noticed the subtle quote of Pegasus' theme as his constellation is shown before.
