I call this a 6.9 on the Richter scale!

[when I buy the CD at LaLaLand]

Jack Burton: "Henry Swanson's my name, and excitement's my game."

LaLaLand: "Cash or charge?"

Jack Burton: "Oh gosh, cash, I guess. I mean it's not deductible, is it."

-
LaLaLand really shook the pillars of heaven with this one.

"Oh, no, what is that? Don't tell me." big grin

I'm glad to see all the excitement over this release. If only there was this level back when the movie first came out. razz

I vividly remember seeing this in theaters with my mom and sister back in '86 and being totally blown away. We went for panzerotti afterwards and all I could think about was the jumping, mid-air sword fights in the big climax. Instant 8 year old Carpenter fan.

It didn't do much at the box office, but it made a killing on VHS rentals and cable.

the best in my opinion, obviously.
Big trouble is my favourite movie ever, and the soundtrack really rules !! I have bought the previous cd editions many many years ago, and I have listened to them hundreds of times.

now I will have the complete score, it's a dream that comes true !!!

Funny I just realized that Big Trouble was the second soundtrack I ever purchased - the Enigma Records cassette.

(first soundtrack was Rambo roughly the same time)
