Yeah. I don't care if the score treads similar ground to other efforts by him, it's right up my alley (based on those re-creations in another thread) and it'll be a no-brainer, no-samples-needed, insta-purchase from me (well, if I have the money!).

Orchestrated by Alexander Courage

R1P1 Main Title (Theme from The Public Eye)
R1P2 First Sale
R1P2A Morning Edition
R1P4 Morning Call
R3P2 The Body
R3P4 What's Up?
R4P2 Someone to Trust
R4P4 What's The Trouble?
R5P1 After Hours
R5P2 Black Gas
R5P4 No User
R5P5/R6P1 Snapshots
R6P3 The Alley
R7P1 Be Right Over
R7P4 New Evidence
R7P6/R8P0 Beauty and the Beast
R8P1 Ask Me---?
R8P3 Midnight Clear
R9P1 3 Months Pay
R9P2 The Slaughter
R10P1 Everything is True
R10P2 Turn It Off
R10P3 End Credits

Assuming an average length of two minutes a cue (some will be longer some will likely be shorter), that's 44 minutes. And that's not counting any alternates. Plus, I'd LOVE if they could put Leigh Phillips re-recording on there.

His MIDI re-recording? Why would anyone want that when we'd have the real thing?

Because it's good and it would make a nice bonus track.

That's so weird. Was a great service, for sure, and super cool of him to do that for those of us who are rabid for anything unissued by Goldsmith, but who listens to those shitty demos on the Waterworld and Fugitive releases? They're neat as curiosity, but not necessary at ALL.

A few short cues that someone put up on youtube:

https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Public+Eye+Jerry+Goldsmith

I like the samples, but then again, it is The Vanishing. Still...dammit...I want to hear the rest of it, not just the mock ups, but the full orchestral versions. How amazing that would be.

**EDITED TO BE RIGHT. I've had Two Days in the Valley on my brain for the past week...not sure why...

Or, rather, The Vanishing.

This is great. I've long felt that the theme from The Vanishing (which originated here) was one of Goldsmith's most underrated, but it barely got a chance to shine in that score, outside of the end credits. Based on the MIDI samples, the theme is all over The Public Eye. It will also be interesting to hear how Goldsmith handled the suspense element. The trailer has some moody synth suspense music that I don't recognize; could this have been taken from Goldsmith's mock-ups?

Doesn't really sound like Goldsmith.

I think I remember Mr. Bond suggesting that the trailer music was indeed Goldsmith.

Man I really hope this happens.

I don’t know, Mutant, but I do remember really liking the movie (I know for a fact that I still like Isham’s music for it).

And there is good news today!

Good news on this. I checked with MRT and although he didn’t have any tapes himself a DAT was sent to JG at the time and has been found by Carol and the score is being worked on for release by a label who releases JG soundtracks quite a lot. But be warned how long it will take to do the paperwork on it is another matter so don’t hold your breath.

I’m gonna get a copy of the film and restore the Goldsmith score on my channel if it’s possible.
