From the 007 store. Not complaining about LaLa Land. What gives?

Please note that our contract stipulates that Goldfinger and any future Bond titles will be sold exclusively through the 007 store and the La La Land Records website for the first 90 days of its release. Should there be any remaining stock of the agreed upon 5000 unit run then, and only then, are we allowed to offer the Bond titles to other stores. There was a lot of back and forth negotiating the terms of this deal with a lot of different parties involved.

In other words if you want to buy a Bond title then it's best to order it domestically through the La La Land website or overseas through the 007 store.

Thank you

If those are the conditions then so be it. A bit of a bummer, but making the music available is the important thing.

Cool that you got a contract this way, and I pretty much always order my releases direct from the label.

ADDITIONAL MUSIC 7:53
15. Goldfinger (Instrumental Version) 2:09
16. Goldfinger 2:50
Performed by Anthony Newley
17. Goldfinger (Mono Version) 2:50 Performed by Shirley Bassey
TOTAL ALBUM TIME: 47:17

Question from curious minds. The mono Shirley Bassey bonus track recalls another similar mono track from the 2003 Thunderball release (Thunderball Instrumental mono), which was mastered from a vinyl LP. Were these mono tracks recorded exclusively (in mono) for the intent of vinyl singles that would only be released in mono?

I wasn't sure if there were, at the time stereo mixes, that are now gone or if John Barry and Shirley Bassey planned this alternative variation of the theme for mono media (radio broadcast)?

Nice to finally have the expanded listening program in film order.

...but people should understand that if they don't buy it because of this, we're only hurting ourselves/fans. After all, only if the album sells well, will it send a signal to the label and EON that it's worth investing in more expanded Bonds.

The release is what it is. People can decide if they need it or not. Fans trying to guilt other fans into buying it because of what the future may bring is unneeded.

I'm considering buying this just because Chris Malone is involved in the restoration. The new packaging, Jon Burlingame liner notes, and chronological program are all a plus too, of course! But if anyone can squeeze better sound out of the surviving elements, it's Chris.

But those who can comfortably afford to support the releases should consider doing so. In the words of famous Bond music collector Karl Stromberg, "I wish to conduct my life on my own terms and in surroundings with which I can identify. That is a privilege of wealth."

I'm considering buying this just because Chris Malone is involved in the restoration.

I think we can agree Malone's the best in the biz right now. Everything he touches sounds like it was recorded yesterday. Can't wait to blast whatever magic he's worked on Dawn Raid on Fort Knox (arguably one of the best cues written for film at any time in history) at full volume in the house.

Also done this as in the UK.

I am assuming the 007 store charging £25 for a single CD means that LLL still get their usual margin, otherwise I'd have stumped up the extra postage.

Thanks again to LLL.

Very nice frown . That nearly doubles my expenses, because of the high price. Furthermore the sh**** 007store wants to have 18 pounds for shipping to Europe. Fortunately I need only another four soundtracks. The rest of the scores: Nuts to you!

It's financially horrendous, wherever you get this. I hope the remastering is worth it.
