never thought I would see the ROCK ost expanded - let's bring it home - CRIMSON TIDE deluxe and full re-release of RAIN MAN in its full glory would make me very happy this year.
PS - THE LAST SAMURAI is 21 yrs old - just saying....
Been listening a lot to PACIFIC HEIGHTS lately. What an amazing score!
Hoping for an expanded release some day!
First sentence, I totally echo. Second sentence, I choose to ignore.
I'm glad that I've now organized my Zimmer favourites. I have a list of early, pre-RAIN MAN titles that I want to highlight, I have a list of runner-ups, and I have a top 20. I'm not going to divulge any of it at this point, because it's all part of a Zimmer podcast on the horizon, with two other Zimmer fans. In Norwegian, though, so probably of interest only to acathla and other Scandinavian fans.
But of course, I already divulged my alltime favourite Zimmer score earlier in this thread.
I own five - The Thin Red Line, The Ring (2 versions of each), Dune (3cd), Black Rain, Batman Begins.
I haven't listened to Batman Begins in quite some time, but the other four are absolute stalwart classic banger favourites that I will not likely tire of. I do really like Interstellar, I just haven't picked it up yet. I find it hard to ally myself in any way with the silly stupid film but I will pick up a release at some stage.
Thin Red Line is pretty special, but my fav at this stage, the one I listen to most, is Black Rain.
Not his absolute best but definitely his best in the last 1-2 years: The Creator. Not a single track I would skip. I like it so much more than Dune which everyone is raving about... I'm just mad it didn't have an official CD release.

Agree on this! His best score since Wonder Woman 1984, imo! And I hate that it doesnt have a CD release!!

Glad to hear it! It will be an enormously ambitious one, like the 3 1/2 hour episode on Vangelis that we did in 2020 (same guests). Just need to make the schedules overlap.
