I never had the previously expanded edition that was very limited and became a rarity. I loved the original album when it first came out. Iam looking so forward to this and knowing that NSB has done an incredible job on this set. M would be proud.
now THIS is a truly worthy and deserving update (not those with filler music, repetition of cues and 200 alternates), both the original album and the expansion were truncated releases
One of the greatest scores from the 90' in a well-deserved amazing release, at last !
What I really love about this score is how David Arnold did not shy away from using the Bond theme. He actually embraced it and ran with it. It’s my favorite of Arnold’s Bond scores.

Has there ever been a score with LESS shying away from previous themes? He even brought back From Russia With Love (James Bond is Back)!

Which is why I love this score. Probably my favorite Bond score. When I watch a Bond film I want to hear Bond music and his theme. This was perfect and a throwback to Connery films when they played the theme quite a bit. Awesome
They include both the opening and closing songs but not Moby? (Which a) wasn't a very good cover IMHO and more importantly b) wasn't ever intended to be in the film.)
inclusion of THE JAMES BOND THEME -MOBY would have been the cherry on top
but still a STELLAR release and Brosnan addition
It's probably a rights issue and/or too expensive to include it.
little confused that its included on the original score soundtrack
Well, this honestly doesn't need to make sense to us as fans and consumers. It only needs to make sense to those who work in the industry and deal with the complications of rights and legalities involving studios, record labels and individual artists. You can still buy or keep the original album which has that Moby track, no one made any promises that an expanded release would be a 1:1 ratio, allowing you to throw out the old album.

I'm sure another member(s) could give a more technically accurate answer, but to the best of my understanding, the layman's explanation is that LLL would have to pay whomever has the rights to the track (whether it be Moby or his label or whatever) to include the track on their newly-released album. The older album--those rights were already paid for. It's one of the benefits of physical media over digital downloads--digital albums could disappear like a vapor.

I get it , REQUOTE- "but still a STELLAR release and Brosnan addition"
Yes, those who want the Moby track just need to keep the original album and those who want the audio interview with Arnold just need to keep the first expansion. But neither where part of the film score and this album finally has the complete score. The Moby track is not bad and was a clever way to promote the film as it actually got some plays on the radio at the time, but it is not essential IMO.
