Onya, The Manchurian Candidate could be pared with Goldsmith's Seven Days in May. Same era, both political thrillers, same director. Goldsmith's complete score is just 17 minutes long. Those were the days!

Thanks! Is it available?
I also thought about pairing it with the Outer Limits score "100 Days of the Dragon."
COMA and CAPRICORN ONE are forever linked in my mind - two highly effective thriller scores that had a big impact on me in the theater and made me a Jerry Goldsmith fan. To this day, I play them together as a "double bill."

That’s interesting. My double bill (I even bought the two records on the same day) is CAPRICORN ONE and THE SWARM. In my mind they are almost one giant soundtrack b/c I learned them at the same time.
Here is a list – of scores which I accociate with one another; which I actually combine together as a set… Some are interesting – as you wouldn’t think they go together; but they do for me! And others are obvious choices. I could have added others; but I fear getting laughed at!!

I can almost never play Stephen Warbeck's SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE without immediately following it up with Shaun Davey's 12th NIGHT. (If you've seen SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE, you'll know why). Also, they just seem to fit musically.
