But Thor, the OP isn't ignoring that the original release exists, tangentially or otherwise, in his pursuit of his holy grail. He clearly illustrates its tracks and run time in his opening post. I know. As I said, it's a different topic that is tangentially related to this 'holy grail' thing, in other words it does not apply to this particular thread. And suddenly acting all butt hurt over some innocuous remarks (from the two kevins) isn't gonna wash. You and I apparently have a very different view of what "innocuous remarks" are. Questioning the use of a term, which is what I did, is innocous. Throwing around faux strawman psychoanalysis about my motivations or properties, is not. Nor are personal insults like 'histrionics', 'troll' etc.

So what better word could I have chosen, over 'histrionics', that would better illustrate your years long convention of entering threads to tell us all that lengthy, expanded score releases are bad/superfluous, while tightly edited, shorter original editions are good? First of all, I didn't do that in this thread. I'm not really interested in discussing the age-old C&C issue anymore. Everyone knows where I stand on that issue anyway. That you think that was the goal of my post, is - as I said earlier - due to you not having read my posts properly. However, I AM very interested in the changed way we speak about soundtracks these days, and the marginalization of OSTs in our discussion climate. Using the term 'holy grail' about an expanded desire, such as this thread, is one example. Another is when someone starts a thread and asks something like "So, will we ever see a release of Goldsmith's MULAN?" without at any point acknowledging that it actually has a release already. These things interest me. They scare me, but they also interest me. Second, 'histrionics' is a very negative word that denotes hysteria. The only hysteria I tend to see in these threads are by my opponents, who respond as if I killed a member of their family. You could have used a less confrontational word, like 'dedication', for example. Heck, I'd even take 'obsessed'! But you seemed very intent on picking a fight from the get-go, without really reading what I was talking about.

Yeah, you don't want to end up in Thor's freezer later.
