from what i’ve heard is, that we have to expect some unreleased morricone scores in the near future.

Perhaps obscure scores like Thrilling (1965) or I due evasi di Sing Sing (1964) but I can't really see what unreleased scores we are talking about?

Indeed Sonor Music have just announced the release of Musiche per commento RTV RT100, which contains the score from I Due evasi di Sing Sing (1964). Now I really hope this won't be LP only.

Sonor Music is in fact an LP label so that I don´t think they will release a CD of the DUE EVASI DI SING SING album. As far as I can see it, during the last few years only in two cases - with CALAMO and RACCONTI DI MARE - did they ever include a bonus CD in their LP package - but only because they could include some additional tracks on the CDs which were not on the LPs.
However, with the Morricone score they probably can´t do this so that they will just reissue the RTV LP with the same tracks.

Absolutely spot on review. It arrived today, just listened to it the once and enjoyed all of it. There were half a dozen tracks that I either knew very well or enjoyed a passing acquaintance with, but otherwise it lived up to its name and aspirations.

CAM Sugar & Decca Records present "CELEBRATING ENNIO MORRICONE: THE SECRETS BEHIND HIS GENIUS", featuring tracks from the new album Morricone Segreto, the first posthumous release of the Maestro. Order the album here: https://Morricone.lnk.to/SegretoVD
To commemorate what would have been Ennio Morricone’s 92nd birthday, his closest collaborators have reunited for the first time in years at Maestro Morricone’s studio in Rome – the historic Forum Studios, founded by Maestro Morricone in 1970 together with Armando Trovajoli, Luis Bacalov and Piero Piccioni. A real family and home for the composer, where he recorded most of his masterpieces. Even today the Forum Studios are considered a real “temple of the soundtrack”, they have characterized the legendary sound of the Maestro in the last 50 years and the sound of many other internationally renowned artists. The five celebrated musicians, who worked alongside the composer on some of his most iconic scores, share memories and stories about him and reminisce about his glittering career, spanning more than six decades.
Morricone’s so-called ‘Dream Team’ – comprising Argentinean organist Giorgio Carnini, guitarist and composer Bruno Battisti D’Amario, saxophonist and arranger Gianni Oddi, pianist and composer Enrico Pieranunzi and vocalist Edda Dell’Orso – convene for a special listening session of Morricone’s first posthumous album, Morricone Segreto, which is available to order now. The documentary was excellent. A rare look inside of how Maestro created his scores told by his closest collaborators. Highly recommended!

I'm still waiting for my copy of this album to arrive. I can't wait to hear the whole thing!

There is also an hidden track after the last musical track from Macchie Solari(beautiful music) with Morricone speaking with musicians(in italian so I don't know when it was recorded)

I think that talking track during recording might be played at the end credits of that documentary.

Sigh, yesterday I saw this debut release of LA PROFESSORESSA DI SCIENZE NATURALI by Alessandroni. But it is also LP only! This time by Sonor editions. If it continues like that I'm afraid the real collectors and labels will just quit.

Sonor has now mentioned on their Facebook website that LA PROFESSORESSA will also be released on CD next year. Certainly in collaboration with Beat Records or maybe only through Beat.
However, what is really astonishing in my mind is that they have already sold not only 500, but 700 copies of the vinyl edition of this Alessandroni score. That´s sheer unbelievable as you would never sell 700 copies of such an Italian title nowadays on CD only.
This is Sonor´s commentary about the sales:
"Our forthcoming LP "LA PROFESSORESSA DI SCIENZE NATURALI OST" by Alessandro Alessandroni is now SOLD OUT. Last 3 copies of the stock are available at our Bandcamp alongside some more limited pieces of out-of-stock items from the label. In order to fill out all the requests, we had to update pressing quantity to 700 copies and this will slightly delay final release date."

Beautiful and extremely interesting video.
The origin of the Unione Musicisti di Roma Orchestra is also well explained (they worked with Goldsmith & Poledouris too).

Video is located in the Forum Music Village studios where a lot of film composers used to work: Goblin (of course!), Bill Conti, Dave Grusin, George Garvarentz, Luis Bacalov, Quincy Jones, Piero Piccioni, Vangelis... just to name a few.

My copy of this arrived today so I've been listening to it this afternoon (first time I've ever had a delivery from Amazon on a Sunday, bizarrely). I was only familiar with 2/3 tracks beforehand, so some of it is pretty different to the usual Morricone I would listen to. Enjoyable compilation though.

Onya, I have a feeling this will be right up your street when you give it a listen!

I obviously had to give this a shot after my re-ignited Morricone interest after his passing. I'm still not ready to deal with his dissonant affairs, but this is more in quirky/bizarre/weirdo/crossover territory, so easier to access, mentally. I cannot compete with the immense Morricone knowledge on display in this thread -- about labels, releases, unreleased stuff and everything but Ennio's kitchen sink -- but I just wanted to chime in and say that I liked some of it, while other things left me a headache.

I aim to create a thread soon, about the results of this Morricone surge of mine.
