Good ol' Dana, you came through for me again! I've been wondering if "I Wanna Be Seduced" was in the mix, and I hadn't yet seen a track list. Happily, of course, we have the song on one of Leon's many wonderful albums. The first time I ever heard the song, Paul Shaffer was playing the piano on "Saturday Night Live" and guest host Richard Dreyfuss was singing atop the piano. If you pay, you can see the whole show online. Meanwhile, here at least is the soundtrack of Richard's vocal. It cuts off right when the audience starts applauding, but if memory of that night serves, Dreyfuss added ruefully words to the effect of, "And that, ladies and gentlemen, is the honest to God truth." https://soundcloud.com/katieob11/richard-dreyfuss-singing-on

Anyway, I was more than relieved to find the original song back in its rightful place when I first viewed the Twilight Time blu-ray release. I was (am) a huge Leon Redbone fan, never missed a chance to watch him on SNL or wherever he showed up, perched on a stool with his big Panama hat and dark sunglasses, always looking down at his guitar as he played and sang. Truly one of a kind.

That was fun. I don't think he did his own sing however in HELLO DOWN THERE! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfYeylQV6VE 0:33 A little JAWS foreshadowing perhaps?

Truly one of a kind. *** Truly. And truly much missed. Thank God for all those records. But you're right, his visual presentation was an important part of his mystique. I must look to see if there's any concert home video of him available...

Exchange of Envelopes (from the new sample) sounds like a cross between his training music from The Karate Kid and John Williams' Paper Chase.
