That new Spidey mask design, looks like he has long eyelashes. A subliminal message of things to come?

"Audio CD". Pffft, okay Sony. Maybe for a few weeks.

How 'bout a "tracklist"...

Jarre Jarre,

Extremely disappointed that you didn't capture the surprise Gwen Stacy appearance with the track title...(wait for it).....

Gwen in Rome...

What an ugly cover!
It is the movie poster...if they used photoshopped floating heads someone would complain about that. No pleasing people.

But it IS ugly.

The OST and composer text at the top is for me the thing that really spoils it...ugly font and too garish looking. It needed to be much smaller and non-descript, preferably in white and without the exaggerated drop shadow. Placement should have been at the bottom right, away from all the busy looking city stickers. I'm sure our resident custom cover artists will swing to the rescue.

"Amateur" graphic designers on this board and on the web will create much better cover art.

I like the two cues. The first one of course uses the theme from the first film (which I always liked). Kinda has a 60's funk/Aquaman electronic vibe. The second cues is lovely though Giacchino is best at quieter moody passages, so no surprise there.

Seems to be some variations on the first 4 notes of the Avengers theme which I’m assuming is some sort of motif for Tony Stark post-Endgame.

Also enjoying the deconstruction of the main theme at the end of the suite.

17. Gloom and Doom (4:16)

MCU Fantastic Four confirmed!!

The suite is quite nice, with a slight variation on the main theme toward the end. The theme in the middle which I'm assuming is for Mysterio might bear a few more listens.

His Vulture theme in Homecoming was basically The Avengers theme's phrasing, just different notes, which I guess was deliberate, as Vulture was basically borne out of his hatred of The Avengers - or just Tony Stark (I forget).

Assuming the new themes in the suite a for MJ/Peter and Mysterio. However, the Mystero thing is more complex so I wonder if there are actually a couple of things in there. Anything for the Elementals I wonder?

Honestly, I think I was distracted by how similar it was to Nero’s theme from Star Trek ‘09, the Klingon theme from Star Trek Into Darkness, and Krall’s theme from Star Trek Beyond.

I like Giacchino's Homecoming, but I do think it's the weakest score for a live-action Spider-Man movie. Really enjoying those two tracks, though - especially what I'm assuming is Mysterio's theme.

Yeah, villain themes aren’t his strongest suit. He scores them all like they’re goddamn King Kong.
