i was under the impression it was done and waiting to be released from what i had heard and been told. my apologies. im not wishing to upset you or anger you please forgive me it is not my intention. Not upset of angry...not sure what gave that impression. I was just trying to give some subtle information and then you responded very defensively. Nothing I had said was geared specifically to you. There's a nice break point next month.

my apologies again if it sounded defensive it wasnt meant that way i was just confused initially by what you had said and wanted to ask for clarification thats all im sorry that is one thing i hate about message boards you cant tell the way a person is typing as in what sense or emotion wise as opposed to speaking in person. i always appreciate everything you do and release and im a big supporter of intrada and am grateful for the music you release. dont get me wrong. i am also thankful for any insight and response i get from you. i am just very passionate about bruce broughtons theme park music and have been for many years after several petitions and emails and fan letters sent to WDR. As well as me making a custom shirt to wear in the parks to spark interest and awareness several years ago.

pardon me but im a tad bit confused. i never said anything, nor do i see anything posted about Bruce no longer writing music for disney parks believe me i am ALL for him continuing writing more music for the parks. i was just stating that i had heard in a recent podcast with him that there might be hope for this release coming still. that it hadnt died. Right...so if you want to include ALL the music he wrote and he's in the middle of composing something, what has to happen? Broughton is scoring “Soaring: Fantastic Flight” for Tokyo DisneySea which opens this summer. I presume the music will be a variation on Soarin’ Around the World, which was itself based on Goldsmith’s score for the original Soarin’ Over California, but who knows? If Intrada hasn’t closed the books on this potential release, then perhaps once this latest assignment is completed we can look for all of Broughton’s Soarin’ music to be included. Is it too much to hope that this long-awaited set will finally appear in 2019?

Yes I agree Dr. Know I’m beginning to give up hope myself as this was mentioned by the composer in several interviews over the last few years...and still nothing has come to fruition. Perhaps it is dead in the water and will never see the light of day. Perhaps the powers that be at Disney canned the project. We may never know. This is a sad and disheartening time it would have been a great time to release it when everyone is stuck at home and unable to visit the Disney theme parks. Which would have brought some cheer and smiles to those of us who appreciate and love not only music but the Disney parks and the memories we have from visiting them over the years or in our lifetime. I hope that this project is not dead in the water as I said earlier and is just delayed like everything else nowadays like the release of black widow, no time to die and Mulan. If anyone has any information or updates on this release or maybe if even the powers that be that chimed in some time ago and corrected me to give us a clue or vague hint at wether this is dead or alive would be a light on these blustery days!

has anyone heard anything new about this release or is it dead in the water Last update from Broughton back in November was that it is still happening, it just got held up by them including “Fantastic Flight”. When we will actually get to hear it is anyone’s guess...

If Disney was willing to go to the trouble of including FF I’m guessing they are still planning on releasing it.

I sent an email to Bruce Broughton just asking if there were actually plans to release the music. He was kind enough to reply almost immediately, what he essentially says is that the decision to release it (from what it sounds like the set is complete) lies with Disney. With COVID delaying manufacturing I can understand why it may be harder for Disney to mass produce physical cd’s at this point.

I would say the best bet for now would more than likely be a digital release avenue....and then have the cd's come out later on when it is more financially feasible. i have seen this occur many times in the past for scores. they released a digital version and then the physical cd was released soon after. and for us die hard Disney music fans we will be doing both buying the Digital and then later the physical cd. at least I know I will! does anyone else feel this would be a more feasible approach during these trivial times?

I’m with you 100%. Disney has started leaning more towards releasing music through the digital outlets, while still releasing physical media on the side. Personally, I am ok with going the digital route, if only for convenience sake. I don’t know why Disney has been dragging their feet honestly. The set is finished and mastered, I can’t imagine any good reason not to do something with the material.
