Thank you very much for asking. I have been rewatching the entire series to get my music requests for Volume 4 sorted. (Its release on blu-ray may have been a factor too!)

Here's my list. Obviously, the titles in bold are my top wanted unreleased cues. Cues between brackets are nice but obviously not the first priority.

If I would have to pick just a couple, it will definitely be the ones I listed below from GETHSEMANE and TRIANGLE.
And if I'd have to pick favourites: my most wanted still unreleased cues are "Trust No One / Mulder Is Dragged to the Ballroom" from TRIANGLE and the "First Trek" motif statement from GETHSEMANE.

Many thanks for considering!

PILOT
- Mosquito Bites 2min
- Peggy Is Dead / Fire 1min40
- Billy’s Hypnosis 1min30

DEEP THROAT
(- Opening Shot of Washington DC (0min30))
(- Drive from Café to Airbase Fence (piano motif) (1min) (or: Drive from Café to Fence/Car Window Blown Out 1min30). This is the same piano motif is also heard later on when Mulder is trespassing on the Airbase’s grounds, and since the latter has been released, this cue is not that essential anymore.)

FALLEN ANGEL
- Mulder Infiltrates through the Foret (By Daylight) (cue that plays while the main credits are shown, comes after the Deep Throat scene)
- Mulder Sneaks In (By Night) (cue following the previous cue)

EBE
- Finale: Inside the Power Plant / Chase 2min20

DARKNESS FALLS
- Night to Day / Mulder Lets Spinney Go 2min10
(- Rescue Arrives / In the Hospital Centre 1min35)

FIREWALKER
- Helicopter arrival cue
(Great cue which seems to have flown under the radar. Ha!)

731
- Mulder on top of the Train 0min40 (cue directly following the main title)

GROTESQUE
- Patterson’s Advice

PIPER MARU
- Prologue 4min20
(- Kallenchuk Stakeout 1min15 (or: Mulder Meets Geraldine / Kallenchuk Stakeout 2min45))

APOCRYPHA
- Car Rental Papers / North Dakota Finale 6min50
(Some interesting material here but I can't remember if it sustains for the full seven minutes. If not, perhaps an edited version would be great. I remember liking the material when they're exploring the bunkers.)
- Melissa’s Grave 1min30
- Ending: Krycek Locked Up 1min

HERRENVOLK
(- Death of X)

KADDISH
(- Prologue)
(- Mulder & Scully conversation in red car (1min15))

UNREQUITED
- Prologue (3min10)

SYNCHRONY
- On the Bus / Following Lisa Ianelli
(seems to be Lisa Ianelli's theme)

GETHSEMANE
- First Trek: Opening after main titles / 1st Trek theme statement (2min30)
- Sawing / Finding the pouring hole in the ice / Going Down the Mountain

REDUX
- Mulder enters the main hall of the DOD / Kritschgau spots Mulder
(Nothing really crucial, but contains a nice piano fragment)
- At the Racetrack with Cigarette-Smoking Man
(Just noticed this cue on my rewatch: absolutely classic X-Files ending to the cue.)

REDUX II
- Scully’s Room, Mulder Cries

THE PINE BLUFF VARIANT
- Which is the Right Bank Robbery? / The Execution 3min50
Everybody asked for the prologue music, this one contains the same thematic material but is more climactic.

THE END
- Chasing the Cigarette-Smoking Man
(scene after titles: chase scene on the mountain with great action music)

TRIANGLE
- "Trust No One Man" / "We're Going to Jamaica" / MULDER IS TAKEN BACK TO THE BALLROOM (3min)
The cue that starts when the traitor tells the Germans about Thors Hammer; it goes on scoring the scene in which Kersh wants to go to Jamaica; and concludes with the strong climax and final statement of the 'quest' motif when Mulder is transported back; the cue ends when he's thrown into the ballroom. This final statement of this theme is the best and the most dramatic of the whole episode. This cue runs for about 3 minutes.
- Prologue
- Ballroom Sequence (Hot Liquorice adaptation)
- Final Hospital Scene – piano (1min)

DREAMLAND II
- the cue following the main titles (the scene picking up on where Dreamland I left off)

TERMS OF ENDEARMENT
- The Burning Scene
(The choir motif from Field Where I Died is used again in this episode, which is nice, but what I would really love to have released is the piano motif from this episode. It’s the motif that bookends the burning scene, which is great in itself of course. I forgot if there was a more noteworthy appearance of this motif?)

TWO FATHERS
- CSM gives assignment to Spender/Spender in car/To the house
- Final cue

MONDAY
- “I Don’t Want to Tempt Fate” / Conversation with Pam 3min45
(esp. the short moving strings fragment with Mulder outside the bank is a highlight of the episode)
(- First Hold-Up (after main titles) / Talking with Steve/Bernard 5min45 (perhaps interesting for the action music during the hold-up))

TREVOR
- Trevor Escapes/Mulder & Scully Confront Pinker
(Music for the finale, reminiscent of the material from Drive)

RUSH
- Taking the Midterm Test OR Car Ride and Crash
(Whatever cue with statement of this motif is the best!)
- Following Chastity to the Cave
(The mystery motif of this episode - great stuff!)

THE GOLDBERG VARIATION
- Finding the Eye / At the Door OR Looking for Weems / Second Hired Assassin
(These cues are variations of the already released prologue music, but it's more developed with additional strings. Another cue with that theme from this episode would be great - whichever is the best statement according to you would be fine.)
- Finale at the Laundry

SUREKILL
- Introducing Tammi (Tammi Arrives at Surekill)
(The action motif in this episode could be interesting to include, also heard in the prologue. I've listed a cue near the beginning of the episode, but feel free to include whatever the best developed statement of this motif seems to be.)

PER MANUM
- Ending: Never Give Up on a Miracle (Extended Scully Theme)

-------------------

In general, regarding unreleased music, I’d love a bigger focus this time around on seasons 3, 6 and 7, if possible of course. Compared to 1, 2, 4 and 5 these are relatively underrepresented. 8 and 9 as well of course, but I’m not that familiar with the music from those two seasons.

It would also be great if everything that’s left from the soundtrack could be released.
Here I ranked them in order of significance (group 1 > group 2 > group 3), since some of them are fairly clean on the OST or in the suite. The one from The Erlenmeyer Flask is my most wanted of these I think (OST 18).

OST 3: Raptus (first part) = first cue of Pilot
OST 11, from Ghost in the Machine
OST 11, Duane Barry prologue: 2:12-ending
OST 18, from The Erlenmeyer Flask
OST 19, from Oubliette: the last 25 seconds have dialogue
OST 20, “Kyrie”, first part

OST 7, from Gender Bender
OST 6, from The Calusari
the two cues on OST 9, from Oubliette (the second part has some SFX over the cue)
OST 08 first 30 seconds, from Roland, more or less clean but it’s not the entire cue + opening & ending not entirely clean

OST 16, from Shapes
OST 15, from Humbug
OST 5, from F. Emasculata

I don't have Volumes 1 - 3 in front of me, but I don't remember there being anything from
"Shadows" on any of them. That episode has a creepy piano piece that I often find myself
humming to this day. It has stuck with me since the episode first aired in '93.

Hello X-Philians!
It's great news to learn that there will be a future box-set 4 for fans like us!
I would like to hear compositions of the great Mark Snow not available on the previous box set.

To know : Darkness Falls, Shapes, Ghost in the Machine, Squeeze (especially the music from the opening start and also from the end when Tooms is locked up in prison and looks at the crack with a smile.), Død Kalm, Humbug, Red Museum, Oubliette (the passage of the chase), Teliko & Chinga.

First of all: Thank you once again for the Opportunity of another (sadly last) 4 CD Box Set of X-Files Music.

X1-06 Ghost in the Machine

18:34 - 22:19 = 3:45
Lamana follows Wilczek to Eurisco Building, Wilczek sees on Monitor how Lamana gets killed by COS

24:07 - 25:11 = 1:04
Mulder driving to Wilczeks House and is stopped by suited Agents, short afterwhile meets with Deep Throat

28:38 - 30:44 = 2:06
Mulder gives Wilczek a Laptop in prison to create a virus to destroy COS, Scully asleep gets a call and realizes her computer gehts hacked

Seconded to the above. I remember the early episodes music more than the later ones.

Great releases!!!

We have a lot to request, and i agree with most of choices here.

But for me the essential piece missing is from REQUIEM: Mulder's Abduction.

then I d love some Gohost In The Machine, Memento Mori, Never Again, Piper Maru, Dod Kalm... And finally the heartbreaking epilogue from "Oubliette" WITHOUT DIALOGUE!!

thanks LLL... And good luck with the selection smile

One more time:

Teaser music: "That Day in the Woods"/ Headstone " from
"One Breath

I cannot believe I am the only one to request this cue.
Snow's most moving music.

I know it's been said by several others here, but I want to add my voice and votes to:

GETHSEMANE: Any and all climbing music, particularly the opening thru seeing the alien frozen in the wall of ice in the cave.

REDUX I: The sequence in the HQ where Krischgau sees Mulder and escorts him surreptitiously to his office; which segues to CSM in Mulder's apartment, devastated, thinking Fox is dead, then realizing something else is afoot.

REDUX II: Mulder lost at Scully's bedside. (Why, oh why has this gone missing so far?!)

Also: It would be nice to have music from TEMPUS FUGIT. There's two interesting musical elements that Snow develops throughout this score—a twinkling melody illustrating the sad plight of Max Fennig and another that's a motif/stinger that encompasses the “men-in-black/dark forces” that brought the airliner down and are working to eradicate any evidence and witnesses at all costs.

La La Land: thank you so much for Volumes 1-3! I'm very excited about Volume 4. I would love to hear some of the more melodic cues on the new compilation.

The cues I would be really disappointed if they were not included are:
- additional music from Paper Hearts.
There is a lot of music from this episode I'd still like on CD, but ever since the episode came out, I've been waiting for the last 20 seconds before the credits, where Mulder puts away the last heart in his desk. Also:
Teaser
4.42 (Mulder explains to Scully about catching Roche)
16.15 (Mulder interrogates Roche about 1973)
23.10 (Mulder interrogates Roche about the two cloth hearts)
29.00 (Mulder & Scully leave the prison, Mulder and Roche on the plane)
30.50 (Mulder and Roche in Bill Mulder's old house)
38.40 (FBI search Roche's old apartment, trolley graveyard)
42.00- end credits (Mulder and Scully talk in their office, Mulder puts the cloth heart in his drawer)

- The Field Where I Died (the scene where Melissa tells Mulder and Scully about her past life as Sarah, from about 15.30 minutes, but certainly from 17.00-20.50 minutes);

- Avatar (where Mulder and Skinner talk in the interrogation room and in particular from about 35.45 where Skinner talks to his unconscious wife at her hospital bedside until she tells him to listen to her);

- Redux II (where Mulder cries at Scully's bedside);

- Mind's Eye (particularly the end, where Mulder visits Marty in prison);
6.24-8.50 Mulder and Scully pick Marty up from the police cell, Mulder interrogates Marty
15.20 Scully shows Marty the killer’s gloves, Marty tries them on
31.20 Mulder tells Marty of his theory about her mother’s killer
36.00-38.00 Mulder tells Marty the killer is her father, asks for her help catching him
39.35 “Gotts is already here”
42.56 Mulder visits Marty in prison

- Terms of Endearment;
Teaser 1.30-2.47: Wayne brings his wife a drink, they go to sleep
7.15-9.03 Mulder speaks to the sheriff, visits talks to Laura and Wayne
11.00 Laura looks for Wayne
26.16-28.30 Mulder on the phone to Scully/Laura talks to Wayne in prison/he kills her
29.30-31.34 Laura is revived/Wayne goes to his second wife

- The Rain King;
Teaser (reprised at 7.00, 9.30, 13.10)
20.00 Sheila tells Mulder it’s her fault (same as/variation on teaser?)
27.56-30.00 Mulder’s advice to Holman
32.15-35.00 Holman talks to Sheila, confrontation in the hallway

- Sein und Zeit, in particular from 40.00-end, when Skinner, Scully and Mulder go to Santa’s North Pole Village/Ed Truelove is arrested;

- Closure
In particular:
22.37-24.30 CSM leaves Scully’s house, Mulder and Harold climb over the air base fence, find Samantha’s hand print
25.38- ca. 34.44 “He led you from the moment he met you”/Mulder and Scully meet with Harold in the diner/to the air base/séance/Mulder finds and reads Samantha’s diary/Mulder’s mother visits him when he’s asleep
38.00-until segues into Moby track, Scully and Harold talk to Arbutus Ray

- the piano melody at the end of Triangle.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed that my favourites will be included!

I would also be very happy for the dinner scene from En Ami to be included, and anything from The Musings of A Cigarette Smoking Man.

Episodes with three stars on Eatthecorn.com I would also like to see on the CD are:
- Duane Barry;
- Ascension;
- Apocrypha;
- Tunguska;
- Terma;
- Memento Mori.

I’d also like to see more music from the Pilot, in particular:
25.30 Power cut and mosquito bites
30.28 Peggy is dead
34.15 Outside the diner, searching at the cemetery
41.30 Billy ‘snaps out of it’/ Billy reunited with his father

And I also really like the cue from Vienen, around 33.40-34.55 when Doggett says he will help Gaza.

Hi Mr. Marshall, I know Musings of a CSM is included -- the music is some of my favourite on the compilations! There were some additional requests on eatthecorn.com, and because I like the included music so much, any additional cues from this episode would be welcome as far as I'm concerned.

Most wanted:
S04E13 "Never Again"
When Scully gets a tattoo:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxMB5NBRJEc

Beautiful. Love it.

Music from S01E20 "Darkness Falls, S02E05 "Duane Barry", and S05E11 "Kill Switch" would be great too.

Anything more from the first couple seasons is welcome. Those early seasons are so iconic sounding. I understand why Snow thinks it's not his best, but its minimal lo-fi use of just synths and drum machine loops is so much of what I love about those early seasons' music.
