Please tell me we are not already complaining about POSSIBLE future releases that no one knows about before we even have IN OUR HANDS this wonderful 3 disc set by LLL? I don't know if the fans know this, but the labels and rightfully so, get quite annoyed when you say, "GREAT JOB!!! Can't wait to get it!!! Ok, how about this or that score next?" These guys work their tales off, let's praise them for THIS specific title right now before we go into asking or wanting or demanding this or that. You don't even have this score yet and you are already talking about the next. Goodness I'm anxiously awaiting this set as there just isn't a lot of scores out by Ira at all, so it will be nice to FINALLY get three whole discs worth of Ira Newborn music. La-La Land you guys ROCK! I get what you're saying Peter but in all honesty I tend to think of this message board as ideally more neutral and people are open to discuss this 'announcement' any way they want as long as it's done respectfully as Josh points out. Also, you've been around long enough to know that when one title gets released, suddenly people get excited and dream about another one in the same genre, by the same composer, ... being a possibility as well. I've taken it for granted and don't see anything wrong with that. A message board allows for quick response and not always as thought out. Also on message boards, we hardly discuss film music aside from what's missing or how the mix sounds anyway (not mentioning the artwork etc.), so don't think because you're not reading the praise and appreciation it isn't there! This board doesn't have a like function like most modern ones I visit. When labels don't get any reaction at all, they need to start worrying or shout that the market is glutty... glutty or glutted? "Glut-free"? Such a gluttony.

Not for anything, but - aside from the already stated frustration by the labels - they KNOW what people want. A long time ago, Lukas said fans would be hard pressed to come up with a title they haven't thought of or looked into releasing. I still feel that holds true. Especially since every time a release comes out, people suggest a similar score, so do you really think they haven't through of another Zucker film's score like Top Secret? Trust me, they have it in mind and if La-La Land can't do it, then maybe Intrada can. Or Kritzerland. Or Varese. Or whomever. I'm not with a label, but sometimes even I am frustrated at the knee-jerk "cool how about this?!" Sure, it's understandable, and we're a message board and blah-yadda-etc. However, it can also be seen as rude. And I don't like to defend or "excuse" rudeness. Imagine getting a gift from your uncle at Christmas that you always wanted. Say it's The Naked Gun CD set, and as soon as you open it, you push it aside and say "wow great! Man I hope I get Spartacus!" How would your uncle feel? Labels are people too. Off soapbox, play on fellas.

Yes, let us praise the taste and savvy of Mike and Matt in bringing this total surprise to us ZAZ!/Police Squad! fans. Can't wait to hear the Hector Sauvage and Drebin in the Lavatory action music. Those towels in the face are supreme Police Squad! moments. Here's to Sally Decker in Statesville Prison!

Say it's The Naked Gun CD set,... "It's the Naked Gun CD set." I had a hunch back at the office tell me you'd say that. And here's the hunchback now!
